Haven't had a lot of interaction with Cardinal fans, but I think I've had proportionally more encounters with rude, obnoxious Boston sports than any other base.

Saltalamacchia wasn't even the best name in MLB in 2013.  That honor remains with Braves reserve outfielder Joey Terdoslavich.

*ahem*

I can see how you would consider Sox fans the douchiest fans in baseball. We do have a large contingent of asshole college students from New York and I ashamed to admit that we started the pink baseball clothing phase.

Here's how you can tell a "wicked awesome 2004 brah" fan from someone who suffered in silent, horrible pain through their lifetime: ask them who Tim Naehring is.

I loved the games I saw at Fenway, but the crowd was pretty rough.

Fenway is within walking/T distance of a couple zillion college students, and the "cheap seats" are usually still cheap.

They're douchey because they're age 18-25, not because they're in Boston.

If they don't sustain an injury while answering the question, they don't know who Tim Naehring is.

Hey, have I ever told you guys about the time my mom and I took a Red Sox World Series flag to my grandfather's grave?

We felt really silly at the time- the man died 10 years before and really, it's just a baseball team, but we knew how much he would have loved to see it- and when we got there, the cemetery was filled with Sox gear.

Almost 10 years later, I've told this story 500 times, still get a little teary.

It says a lot about the ridiculous offense in the late 1990s that a slick-fielding 3B who consistently put up .380 OBPs was essentially invisible outside of Chowdertown.

Should I have used Mike Greenwell? Bunkosquad told me that Naehring was more obscure, but my original post was with Greenwell. Or Mo Vaughn.

That comment about Napoli by Buck a moment ago? Insinuating that maybe he should be pulled for a PH? In the FIRST INNING? Yeah, I see why people hate him.

Cemeteries had lots of Red Sox flags in 2004.

Everyone else, save some Boston hate for the Pats game.

Living where I do, I usually see NL games.  I'm always amazed at how slow the pace of most AL games seems to be.  You'd think that interleague play would have ended any significant differences in how the game is played in the leagues, but that one remains.

I don't mind it,as long as I'm not at the game. The Red Sox take alot of pitches. Then you put the Yankees out there with them,Its a 3 h 45 m game.

Begging does not help and in fact has been scientifically proven to lessen your teams chances of advancing.
