Never hear anyone praising games for teaching these kids to drive so well. Always focusing on the negative.

She's blaming the popular and violent video game, Grand Theft Auto (GTA), for inspiring her grandson to steal her car and lead police on a 100 km per hour chase through a residential neighbourhood south of Montreal.

/Yes, blame everything but the little retard who stole the car and put everyone's lives at risk. Same old story. Blame Obama, why not? Makes about as much sense.

If you can point out just ONE YouTube video of someone playing GTA5 and NOT driving on the sidewalk, i'll eat my shoes right here and now.

Just one.

I can relate to the grandmother. Back in 1985 after a 16-hour PacMan bender all I wanted to do was chase ghosts and eat fruit.

Speaking of which, we tried to get a Fark crew going for GTA:Online the other night, and then I lost track. Did we ever find someone to make an official Fark crew on the Social Club site? Should we use the 1984-themed crew I made for kicks instead? Should we make a TFD thread?

If video games were influencing children, you'd see them sitting in dark rooms, listening to music that was all bleeps and bloops, and munching on pills.

Personal responsibility is far too scary to confront. Far easier to blame something else.

You know. Because posting a label is the sure way of keeping kids (or those whose brains haven't progressed beyond fart jokes) from doing things they shouldn't.
Nice wishful thinking though.

Best I got so far is to send me a friend request. I'm a sporadic player who farks off to other games (KSP 0.22? ohmanohman..) for months at a time, so I'm trying to find someone to manage this Fark crew so I can just wedge myself in as a member and reap the benefits of my idea without having to do work.

Oddly enough it was the ghosts. It turns out that each ghost spews particles when chased that contain diatary fiber. When they are inhaled, they act like a stick of dynamite to your colon.

Honestly, any parent that buys GTA5 for anyone under 15 or 16 is a horrible parent. I farking love the game, but the shiat that goes on in it.... I certainly wouldn't want any 13 year old I cared about to be playing it.

I'm checking out R* Social now and it looks like there are quite a few crews related in some way to Fark.  The real question is, which crew is most legit?

What? You can't tell me Trevor's introduction wasn't as wholesome and charming as Uncle Joey teaching Michelle to fingerpaint. These are kids toys these games!

The one with the most members seems to be French or something. In the last thread nobody knew about them and we decided to pick up from scratch. Besides, none of them have any good emblems. I'm sure someone can finagle the emblem creator to make the Fark logo. I've seen enough Photoshop threads.

I would love to have a modern Star Fox game that isn't pure anime. Something a little edgy. That game alone was worth the SNES.

I want a game similar to Star Fox 64 / Star Fox 64 3D. I don't understand why all the over games had to bring in on-foot missions. And Adventures wasn't even originally supposed to be a Star Fox game.

They can't be that difficult to make either. Just a rail shooter and some free-flying missions. $$$

This.  Was the Grandmother also buying him whiskey and handing him the car keys?  Because those are both technically legal in most places, too.  Just rather inadvisable and they make the inevitable kinda your fault.

Albeit the problem isn't supplying them with the game so much as you setting the example that you think it's fine to ignore rules when they want something.  Buying them restricted crap is what's setting them down the road to crime, not the restricted crap itself.

Only if Grandma really loves him.
