Thank Christ for my DVD/Blu Ray collection.

The Crazy Ones is good.

Mom is rancid.

BizarreMan: Mom is rancid.

We watched the premiere. How CBS managed to make Alison Janney, Anna Farris and f*cking BADGER unwatchable is beyond me.

I never saw this show but Anna Farris is a pretty good comedic actress, even in those shiatty Scary Movies.

We lasted two episodes and that was it.  Things can change between the Pilot and episode 2.

I can't believe they made Allison Janney bad.  Seriously, I have always said I will watch anything with her in it - but not this.  Jesus.

I agree with you about The Crazy Ones, I'm really liking it.  Plus, anything that gets Sarah Michelle Gellar back on TV is A-OK with me.

I've watched one episode of Mom, it felt like any other Chuck Lorre show ala Big Bang Theory or 2 1/2 Men.  Nothing great, nothing horrible, just overprocessed lowbrow comedy.  I was a bit disappointed that Alison Janney's character wasn't written to her full potential though.

I haven't seen We're the Millers yet, the commercials made it look awful, though I've been hearing it actually has potential.

Can't stand Manic Williams

The Millers, starring "The Dude's brother" sounds interdasting.

Saw Robin Williams on Craig Ferguson's show the other night. Still funny though a few jokes just fell flat. I think they spent very little time talking about Robin's show at all.

I kind of like Crazy Ones....

But it makes it harder to enjoy since Robin Williams admitted he's only doing the show because he's broke and needs money.

I watched part of one episode of one of those shows, and can confidently state that all three of them completely suck.

The Crazy Ones is at least better than The Michael J. Fox show, which is absolutely horrible.

The millers is horrible. It tries so hard to be funny and it's not. I feel bad for Will Arnett the guy is hilarious yet he keeps getting hooked up with bad sitcom shows.

Mom is as someone else said, typical Chuck Lorre so it's as average as average gets.

The Crazy Ones is decent, I think Sarah Michelle has been carrying that show and Robin Williams is just hanging on for a paycheck.

Can someone tell me how "Dads" is still on the air? I know Seth Macfarlane has a lot of pull over the networks but that show is beyond horrid.

He's a little bit toned down in the show vs some of his 'wacky' movie roles, and having Hamish Linklater and Sarah Michelle Gellar to play off of balances is out quite a bit.

I read an interview where, when asked by a reporter about why he's returning to television ,he said something to the effect of "we all have bills to pay". Is that what you were making reference to? Because it would really surprise me to think the man is all-out broke. For god's sake, the money he made from his movies in the 90's alone would be enough to sustain a thousand people for a lifetime. Oh and incidentally, I haven't seen this show as I don't think it looks very good, and I don't watch much network TV - but I do love Robin Williams (when he's not too obnoxious).

There was some story I read (I think on Fark) that he had sold his house and was broke due to a drug habit when he was younger and having 3 ex wives.  Said he was only doing it for the money.

I tried to watch Mom, but can't.  When you realize it's a sad, desperate and lonely show devoid of any substance by glorifying poor life choices, it just becomes too painful to want to watch.  All three female leads have horrible flaws that just aren't funny and are only cries for attention by the characters.

Partners, now that was a show that was cancelled too soon.

Robin Williams has grown into quite the distinguished chap. I think he'll end up as Bob Hope II, the senior Elder of American comedy.

I like Robin Williams, and when I found out Sarah Michelle Geller as in it when I decided to watch the pilot I was hooked. The gag reel alone is funnier than 13 seasons of 2.5 Men.

Yep. That's right! I just trashed talked Two and a Half Men on Fark.

Mrs Sinanju and I are liking The Crazy Ones.  We really wanted to like Mom... tried three episodes, figuring the first needed to do a lot of setup and you couldn't tell by just one "normal" episode.  It came out of the TiVo Season Pass list pretty quickly after that.

"The Crazy Ones" isn't bad, but {Romero} Williams just goes over the top incessantly {/Romero} which is bad enough, but when the rest of the cast treats his every utterance as staggering genius it gets a bit old. I've never worked at an agency but I have a hard time imagining one where the same team would work on the national McDonald's account *and* the local coffee shop.

"The Millers" is vile and odious and every episode filmed should be sealed in concrete and the entire production team should be beheaded and their skulls placed on pikes around the concrete monument to failure

The Crazy Ones is pretty good, but I'm STILL having a hard time with Haemish Linklatter. He was such a shiathead in The Newsroom.

Damn you Jerry Dantanaaaaaaaa!

I'm having the exact same reaction.  I kept expecting him to turn out to be the secret bad guy who somehow tries to ruin everyone else's lives.

Which reminds me of another thing I like about The Crazy Ones: there's no bad guy.  I hate it when sitcoms assume that if they ditch the laugh track they need to give the protagonist a nemesis, because reasons.  Characters on a sitcom should be creative enough to generate their own amusing situations without a regular character who hates them.

Thank you. Both of you. That show went straight to the toilet by the second episode. I thought I was three only one who thought so. The Miller's suffers from that awful actress playing the mom. The Crazy Ones is right on the edge of hitting its stride but not there yet. I'm willing to wait though.

Yes, obviously they're doing it to get paid. The sad part is that Robin, who had a hugely successful career needs to do something he apparently doesn't want to do because all the money is gone.
It's perfectly possible that the rest are all happy to be there and enjoying it.  Especially the ones who have never landed a major role in a TV series before.

I would like to see Robin Williams toned done a bit.  I watched the premier, but the dude was dialed in at an 11 when we need him at maybe an 8 or 9.  At an 11, you get fatigued on his schtick after a bit.

Also, first episode seemed like one giant McDonald's commercial.  I hope that isn't a reoccurring theme of the show.

I have no problem with the premise of "Mom." Not being a female-who-made-bad-life-choices, I watch it from the standpoint of, Wow, glad that's not me, let's see how these characters handle it. (Also, I like Allison Janney.)

I like "The Crazy Ones" but it's on while I'm working so my viewing has been sporadic.
