Tom_Slick: IlGreven: orange storm: Buckeyes are going to get in the title game

Next year, they'd have a shot in the National Semi.  This year, probably not.  Michigan is just not strong enough to push them there.

Another issue Ohio State will have, if Michigan wins their division (which judging by today's game seem unlikely but still) they would have to play them back to back weeks.  It would be hard to beat the same team 2 weeks in a row.

Next year that won't be an option, either, since they'll be in the same division.

Agreed, they've punched their ticket to the B1G conference title game.

Not if Alabama and Clemson/FSU go undefeated.  If that is the case they will be on the outside looking in.  Especially FSU.

I would laugh if FSU keeps Meyer out of the tittle game.  Rivalry biatch!

Bad season for SEC quarterback injuries. As much as I want to win this game, it sucks Manziel is out.

None of that changes that an sec team only has to play 62% of their conference. That's super weak. I can cherry-pick the weaklings out the sec schedule too. On top of that, oregon only has 1 non AQ conference opponent this year. Not a single sec team can say that. 3 pac12 teams can.

The point still remains, The SEC barely plays over half it's conference. They don't beat each other up.

Yeah, it's never fun to see such a good player go down with a serious injury, no matter how much you want to win.

Which is the way it should have been since the beginning, I know Michigan was bad when they set up the divisions, but how many times have those two teams been the two best teams in the Big 10

The SEC could play the HS 5As in their states and play a tougher schedule than the PAC 12.

Only if at least 2 of the 3 lose: Alabama, Oregon, and FSU/Clemson. Otherwise, it ain't happening.

College football is crazy though, it would not surprise me to see two of those teams lose.

Alabama could lose 2 or 3 and still get put into the MNC game.

In the terrible Georgia targeting penalty that WASN'T overturned (as opposed to the terrible Georgia targeting penalty that was overturned), the referee literally has his flag out before the player makes contact, like he's just looking for something to call.

Ok, this hit should have been called.  The Lineman saw the ball had been thrown and still targeted the QB for a hit.  The Ref pulled the flag out when he saw the ball was thrown but the Lineman continued full speed at the QB and didn't put the breaks on.   I don't know about targeting, but late hit or unsportsman like?  I'd call it.

I'd also point out that the other defender who was headed for the QB had slowed down and started to turn away from the QB after the throw but the Lineman who made contact with the QB did so at full speed anyway.  Valid call.

Reading comprehension.

The contenders he was referring to were teams like s Carolina...that 12th ranked team that got beat by Tennesee. A team that Oregon put 59 on in 3 quarters.
