(YouTube)   TFer's friend is in the linked commercial. If it gets enough attention they may do more. Help it get the attention it deserves or tell me why it doesn't. I think it's pretty funny   (youtube.com) divider line 25

I like it, very well-executed, but obviously too long.  At this running time, it could play well in movie theaters as-is, but for TV you need it as a thirty only.

I would make a thirty version by cutting it right after the killer evil stare from the daughter and her stomping back into the house.

Then re-cut the un-used portions to make a second or third 30 second version, where the first part and the head hitting the steering wheel are the same in each, and put all of these in rotation.

I learned this lesson the hard way...

1:47? Yeeeaaaah.... about that.

Pretty cute, but very long. Who watches commercials, let alone 2 minute commercials?

Any Pie Left: but obviously too long

That's why it's only on the web.  I think they could edit it down, but not sure if they could get it to a thirty.

Yeah, commercials like this are often made long, then cut into shorter versions (0:30, 1:00) for use in different timeslots. I guarantee that an editor could get this down to 30 seconds. Some of the jokes would have to be shortened a lot or cut from that version, but they could easily do it.

I like this, subby. Which one is your friend? The main guy?

SmackLT: Which one is your friend?

Thanks, he is the main guy, or as my sister who works for Enterprise called him, "the pink car guy".

I'd like to know more about the cracked windshield. How did it happen? How does the car pass inspection? Did the father yell at the daughter when he discovered it? Will he make her pay for the new windshield?

So many questions.

I laughed.  I have a 14 yr old daughter who commandeers the radio every time we're in the car together.

Well done.

One minute forty seven seconds.  It's a funny concept that ran about one minute thirty two seconds too long.  Which one's your friend?  I'm guessing the guy at the collision shop, though both he and tortured dad were good.

I just can'y have any more coffee today, so please forgive me.  I'll be in bed in a few hours.

Long, but well done. Your friend is a good actor.

I'm not allowed within 100 feet of that commercial

4x longer than it needed to be.
Your friend is good, your editor sucks.

I snorted when he faked tripping to avoid his coworker.

I pointed a friend to a barbie pink miata being sold.  His wife was needing a new car and was fanatic about pink.  He very firmly said "oh hell no" because he might need to drive it on occasion.  He also told me I would die a violent death if I told his wife about the car.

I liked it but it's way too long; judicious editing would make it more palatable.  The Pink Car Guy was very endearing.

Wow, this commercial is awesome.  Can I have your friend's number.

(It's the daughter, right?)

They could make 13 short commercials out of that one long-a$$ one.  I thought it was pretty funny.  The look on the kid's face was great.

Maybe turn it into a series?

I liked it.

OK, I really, really liked it. Funny as hell. The main guy (poor pink-driving dad) was freakin' awesome.

I was highly entertained, subby. Thanks.

I hope your buddy gets more work; he's good.

Too long between setup and punchline.
If you're going to cut this into multiple 30-secon spots, you need to hammer on the 'your insurance doesn't provide rental' thing.
