FTFA At a Tea Party Unity event on Thursday, LGBT activist Peter LaBarbera told group Chairman Rick Scarborough that Fox News should be pushed to cover "these wonderful stories of happy men and women who have left the homosexual lifestyle" like they covered African-American conservatives.

Good luck with that ...

miss diminutive: A tea party leader and former Baptist pastor - who believes that AIDS is God's judgement against LGBT people - this week proposed filing a class action lawsuit against "homosexuality".

This is just weapons grade stupid.

First off, if God did send AIDS as a punishment against homosexuals, why aren't heterosexuals immune? If he did sent it to punish gays, then why do lesbians have significantly fewer cases of HIV? How does one prosecute a sexual orientation? If this man is actually a leader of the Tea Party, is it possible said party is populated by dimwitted, ignorant buffoons who have no grasp on reality and hide behind a veneer of fiscal reform to hide their bigoted and hateful core?

And more importantly, if God sent it, should he sue God's representatives here on earth, not the gays?

But if I ever saw these people in real life, I swear I would start making out with guys in front of them.

It seems likely that there are bisexual people who may lean in one direction and then later lean another, whether due to conscious choice or not.  It also seems likely that people who lean heavily towards being gay but who also identify strongly with certain cultural or religious institutions may deny those feelings and keep telling themselves they're straight to better fit in.

In the first scenario, I don't see any problem, have sex with whoever you feel most attracted to.  The second scenario is obviously problematic, as people shouldn't have to deny safe and consensual basic desires like that out of fear or societal pressure.

nekom: Car_Ramrod:  I was just at a lesbian wedding this summer, and you cannot tell me there was any less love that day than in any of the other weddings I've been to. It's nothing less than insanity.

I have a gay aunt, and my wife has a gay uncle who has been with his partner for 3 decades.  I couldn't agree more.  At the very WORST, I can stomach someone who says "Well, I don't agree with what they're doing, but it's none of my business at all."  Seething hatred toward fellow humans is just unconscionable, unless those humans deserve it (That jackass in Cleveland who held 3 women for a decade, mass murderers, etc.)

Even if I were bothered by gays (I'm not), it is not my place to tell other people that their love is right or wrong.

It seemeth me that unless you're one of the people with your clothes off and making weird faces/noises involved, it's really NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

/ This applies to both straight and gay relationships...// Also implies consenting adults...

I hope they find the kid and sue.

Because that opens the door for a married individual who was counseled by his/her church not to use contraception and subsequently caught an STD from an unfaithful spouse.  Precedent.

How on Earth can anyone take these people seriously? I mean, really seriously; as normally functioning human beings? Is there some sort of mass psychosis bug that had gone around affecting these people?

Yes, it's called American Evangelical Christianity.

It is American only in that it is taking place within the borders of the United States.

It's only tie to Christianity is the practitioners of it claim that it is.

It sure as hell is Evangelical - they won't shut up.

They exhibit many behaviors that should have them all under heavy sedation and daily therapy with a professional psychologist getting them back to reality.  In the mean time, like other mental patients with serious disorders, they should be barred from voting, and strongly discouraged from breeding.

It was my junior year of high school and I was unsure if I wanted to study physic, go into engineering or just be premed like everyone else.  I was talking to mt guidance counselor and she commented that she had seen me the previous week walking with my new girl friend.  Sort of sheepishly she handed me a brochure and apologized by saying we're required by federal law to had these out.  I didn't know what she was talking about until I read the brochure - Be the Gay: a beginners guide.

My brochure was called Cock Tastes Like Vanilla Pudding (But You'll Need To Suck a Few Dozen Before the Taste Kicks In)

It took me until I sucked my fiftieth cock that I realized it was a lie. It turns out I was targeted as part of the Gay Agenda. And now, I am hopelessly addicted to cock.

Damn you, Gay Community. Damn you all to Hell.

Nah, I wouldn't give them such an easy way out.  I'd want them to watch as they become increasingly irrelevant to everyday life in America.  That their opinion and $2.50 gets them a ride on the NYC Subway and nothing more.
