I would recognize Minute Maid Park. It's the stadium with no one in it.

He chose the wrong part of the Marlins ballpark to model.

Little less obvious for the Tigers/Rays would have been nice.

It would be more a a challenge if they weren't in alphabetical order.

So let me get this straight...Miller park, the inventor of the sausage races gets edged out by the knockoff nationals in favor of Bernie's slide?

That's a bigger hose job that Ryan Braun pulled.

Every time I see that, I'm reminded of the old Sesame Street animated bit where the kid gets lost and the rest of the world took copious amounts of acid.

Is the office building facade really the defining feature of Rangers Ballpark?

That also suggests that Nationals Stadium is so bland that it would be impossible to distinctly identify it from some non-mascot-type feature.

You know what, you're absolutely right. It would fit in just perfectly.

And now I know why I can never get past that "where have I seen that before?" feeling with that monstrosity.

It was easier picking out the teams from these pictures than it would have been if you just gave me the ballpark names. Seriously, the park names should be written in pencil.

I'm not sure what else you do for Tropicana, though. I was thinking catwalks but it said something that every baseball fan would "know  and love". Maybe the giant orange in left field with the straw. But that strikes me as a bit too commercial.

Actually he should have used an empty seat for the Marlins

I dunno, are they in ALPHABETICAL FARKING ORDER?

seriously, once I got Anaheim, Arizona, ???, ???, Boston, and then realized the second ??? was the Baltimore warehouse, it was no longer interesting.

Before I figured out that they were in alphabetical order, I was concerned that they'd picked the cow for Rangers Ballpark. And you have to admit, the office building facade is pretty distinctive to the average viewer. Not everyone gets to see the statue.

I did the same thing. I also didn't realize that Arizona's picture was supposed to be a pool

They could have used the Capital building, which you can see from the park, Red Porch, or that god awful Walter Johnson statue.

The presidents race may not be original but it is easily the best one out of all the mascot races.

It would be rather hard to show an annual collapse in such a small format.

Since the link is in alphabetical order by city name, why is Seattle before San Francisco?  Did they decide to just use SF instead of the actual name?

The Oakland one could be easily confused for Tampa Bay.

Comerica Park also has the toothbrush field lights like Progressive. They don't look good there, either.

By the left foul pole. It's a Chik-fil-A ad that does an animatronic tomahawk chop.

Ironically the linked answers are not in alphabetical order.

Really, the image was probably not designed to be used for a quiz. It was probably intentional made easier to figure them out by putting them in order.

the original image has them arranged in alphabetical order, but by stadium name rather than city, and had the names imposed on the images. The author of the article (or someone the author stole from) photoshopped the names out and re-arranged them by city (poorly).

2013-10-18 06:46:32 PM
The "S" section is in order if you use the common abbreviations for the cities: SD, SEA, SF, StL.

And st Louis, mets, Wrigley.....

Sad that I looked at it for 15 secs and could name most of them, the GF is right I do watch too much baseball.
