That reaction was far more believable than the plant they used to fake the $1M win early on.  And cuter.

Gotta love epic gameshow wins.

Mostly stopped watching when Bob Barker retired, stopped watching even occasionally when they added the male model.

I haven't watched TPIR since the first season of Drew and haven't seen him since. Wow, he sure got skinny.

Didn't you used to win extra cash if you were within $1K or $500 of the actual price in the showcase showdown?  Not that she needed to win anything more, but that was a good bid.

I'd take that in a heartbeat. My genes aren't particularly awesome and I haven't spawned yet so why not.

She was cute.  But WTH was going on with Drew's hair?

She's going to LOVE IT when she has to pay taxes on all of those winnings. I've read that a number of contestants decide to not accept new cars, etc after realizing they had to pay the taxes on them.

You win both showcases if you nail the price.

It's much better with Drew.  Bob was too cranky and needed to retire about 10 years sooner.

I think you win both if you're within $250 of the retail price of the showcase.

She won $100,000 in cash. She can actually afford the taxes if she doesn't blow the money first.

Yep, I missed that they changed it from exact to $100, to $250.

You don't get the money unless it's a lot - if they won 3K in cash, it gets applied immediately to help pay the taxes for all of the goods won first and foremost. You basically have to pony up the remainder of the tax money owed asap or forfeit the goods.

As for her, there's more than enough (140k) to cover the taxes on the prizes as well as take the remainder as cash home
