Canadian officials have declined to extradite Stanley at this time

I'd really like to know the reasoning behind this decision.

Would you want him wandering in your neighborhood? It's the same thing, but at a federal level.

From a different article:

On the weekend, Alberta Justice said it would not seek Stanley's extradition to Canada because the charges he faces in the country - breach of recognizance, mischief and driving - aren't violent offences. -CTV

Can't we deport him for violent offenses and all?  That's what they do in Texas.

Ok, either take him back or we're returning Justin Bieber.

farking grab him by the arms, take him to the boarder, and then physically toss his ass back into Canada.

I was basing my comment on this from the source link:

He has a record of targeting victims from 15 months old to 81 years old. According to court documents, he even grabbed children off playgrounds.

Great, now we are getting the trash from the Northern Border.

What? Now that we have legalized dope, you won't take this hoser back?

Hey, a good idea is a good idea.  Let's just load up our SVPs on buses and dump them in Canadia.  Just refuse them re-entry because of their criminal history.

SEATTLE -- SEATTLE (AP) - A high-risk sex offender being sought in Canada was allowed back into United States after authorities determined that he was a U.S. citizen and not the subject of an extraditable arrest warrant, a U.S. law enforcement official said Friday.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/12/michael-stanley-sex-offen_n _4 089019.html

Your guys shouldn't have let him cross the border.  It's not like the fact that he was out there wasn't shared.

In revenge we should send Justin Beiber back to Canada.

Yes.  While that doesn't protect him from being extradited to Canada, Canada would have to request the extradition under treaty.  As Flakeloaf said, his crimes aren't part of the treaty, and Canada considers them non-violent.

Although, WHY THE HELL NOT???

Would you like back all your elderly draft dodgers, America? There's about 10,000 of them, all now enjoying free medicine.

Perhaps you can hang them from that black wall in Washington.

Your border dudes shouldn't have let him across the border then.  It's not like the Mounties weren't on high alert trying to track the sick fark down.

Your fault.  You deal with him.

2013-10-17 09:32:51 PM
So do the usual.... Slam his head into the desk and say "sign this form, you are now a registered sex offender."

Install his ankle bracelet(if needed) and drop him off under the usual bridge for the area.

/Canada probably won't take back Canadian Citizen, Rafael Cruz, either.

I had no idea there were that many.

They must make up nearly ten percent of the entire Canadian population.

Carter gave a blanket pardon to the Vietnam draft dodgers on January 21st, 1977.

Just because the US ignores the rule of law when it inconveniences them, doesn't mean the rest of the world's nations act like petulant children.

Oh - and, it was your border dudes who let him in.  I'm guessing you've never crossed the border.  It's the point of entry that checks people, not the point of exit.  Canada gave your mouth-breathing, slack-jawed yokels his picture and asked you to stop him.  Just because your dudes can't concentrate long enough to match a photo, don't blame that on us.

I guess my point was: why doesn't some gun-guy just use their ambient anger & blow him away because he deserves it? From what I find on Fark.com; Vigilante Justice = Best Justice. Not much of a gun culture north of the border, so it's not gonna happen here. Kinda torn on this one. This asshole deserves to die, but I'm not prepared to do it myself. It's frustrating. :p

Well that didn't seem to stop him before.  He was on probation with an ankle monitoring bracelet.  Drove out of town east 2 hours, cut off his bracelt and then double back southwest and got to the border.

Don't know why he was on probabtion instead of being either in prison or deported back to the States, maybe he's a dual citizen.

The headline called him "Canadian sex offender" so you understand the issue. The article doesn't say much beyond his first conviction being in Washington... and nothing about spending all those years in Canada not being naturalized.

Boys, boys, let's not fight. Assuming they have good evidence against this guy, let's just agree to stake him at the border with a flag from each country as a warning to sex offenders on both sides.
