With how terrible the NFC East is this year, they'd just have to start peaking at the right time and maybe... nah, it's not going to happen.

Wonderful headline subby.

Some sportswriters (Peter King e.g.) would have a fit trying to cover a R******s Super Bowl.

Or for godsakes, just roll your cursor over the link. Sometimes, people on the sports tab make jokes. Jokes are when you say something unexpected or clever & the people who read it laugh.

That being said, I chortled internally, for I do not want the Universe to take my outward laughter as some sort of demented dare. Good work, subster.

Yes, in a thread about Mark Rypien, it is creepy to leer at his daughter. Foobies is over there, if you need something to shine your baby carrot to.

I might be a homer but I think that even predicting them showing up in the NFC Championship is a bit bold.

/They still have a shot at the division title
// Yes I know I am in denial.

Hey, buck up, champ. Look at the bright side. At least you're not the Giants. AND you got yourself one of them spiffy mobile quarterbacks. They're all the rage. And he'll be awesome once he stops being scared of ripping his knee to shreds again.

2013-10-18 01:07:13 AM
That was particularly well played, subby.

When counting my blessings that always the first one that comes to mind.

And he'll be awesome once he stops being scared of ripping his knee to shreds again.

That will only happen when they get a real offensive line.
Trent  Williams can not protect the 3sus by himself.

Could you imagine if the 'Skins made the Super Bowl? Advertising rates would drop big time because of the fear of boycotts. You know people would be calling for boycotts of the advertisers.

Not without Daniel Snyder or the personnel for all but one other NFL team dying midseason.

Hey...you only need the 15 other NFC teams to go. Not the AFC squads.

Give Plummer a break. All he has these days to keep his mind active is his fantasy football team.

So I saw this headline and thought "what, did he say the Redskins were going to make the Super Bowl or something? Ha ha. I think I'll go to the thread to make a funny comment about that. Also to make sure there is at least one picture of his daughter. Hm, maybe I'd better click on the article first."

2013-10-18 10:08:24 AM
What's weird about the Skins is that they should be doing a lot better.  They have good personnel, and they play in a very weak division.  I wonder ... oh, wait.  Shanahans.  Right.

had98c: With how terrible the NFC East is this year, they'd just have to start peaking at the right time and maybe... nah, it's not going to happen.

That's the thing.  Washington is just as close to first place in the NFC East as the Miami Dolphins are to first place in the AFC East and the San Francisco 49ers are to first place in the NFC West.

2013-10-18 10:42:44 AM
So are all the Redskins fans.

2013-10-18 11:27:19 AM
Who?  I don't remember him.  Maybe I should get checked, myself.

2013-10-18 11:37:18 AM
The Redskins are effed. RG3 looks like more and more of a diva with every passing day, and Shanahanigans has no clue what to do at this point.

a long term case - at least back to when the Hogs and the Diesel took him along for a Super Bowl win and he decided to pay them back by holding out for a dump-truck (or several) of money.

Uhhhhhh....

1) John Riggins ("the diesel") was never on the Redskins at the same time as Rypien
2) The holdout was the summer before they went to the Super Bowl

His nephew is a pretty damn good HS QB, too. Owns at least the top four passing marks in the state (and half aren't higher because they sat him for most of the fourth quarter) and he's stlil a junior. It's pretty fun to watch him play.

/cover HS sports for the local ESPN radio station for the hell of it
