I would like more back story before I judge the girl too hard for the baby issue...lack of sex education, lack of resources (or knowledge on how to attain them)...there is a myriad of reasons this happened.

Sad really...

Article headline: Fetus.

If she gave birth to it, it is a baby.  Not a fetus.  Word choice is important.

You say fetus when trying to condone a 4th trimester abortion.

It's been reported in most local news as a miscarriage, which means fetus could be entirely accurate.

Hey its miscarriage season at Victoria's Secret... Come on down.

Dumpster baby, gets a little respect, with a bag and a shopping trip.

/Frightened of the police arresting you for a miscarriage? Well shove it in a bag and eventually tell Mommy.

Just because it is out of the uterus doesn't mean it is a baby. Fetus is a developmental term. If she miscarried, it could be fetus (or even an embryo I guess).

Well, I'm glad you know all the details about the state of the child when it came out of her and how long she was gestating.

Miscarriage the day before.

One of them, told police she suffered a miscarriage the day before.

"That's horrible," said shopper Yvonne, a mom from the Bronx. "She must be going through a big depression. She must have been wondering how she was going to get rid of it."

/This is why straight Republican politicians just order an abortion for their lady friends, so nothing like this happens.

"Juveniles enjoy a number of confidentiality protections that adults do not have. This is because states are recognized to have an interest in rehabilitating juvenile delinquents and this interest would be complicated by reporting names of juveniles involved in crimes. While this interest is given much weight in the courts, it does not prevent newspapers from reporting all stories that include the names of juveniles. Certain distinctions are made between criminal and non-criminal actions, and the criminal distinctions are further affected by how the information concerning the juvenile has been obtained." [Source]

"In a unanimous 1979 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Smith v. Daily Mail that the First Amendment protects the right of journalists to use the names of minors in newsworthy stories as long as the information is "lawfully obtained" and "truthfully" reported." [Source]
