It's a tailgate party, what is he supposed to be doing?  Not drinking?  Good luck with that.

I have a picture of my eight-month-old niece drinking from a beer bottle.

Except it's empty. Same thing here? Or they filled it with pop.

I understand the outrage. Making a kid drink Bud Light is child abuse!

I left a beer bottle in the living room. My toddler had it in his hand when I came back.

shrug.

I wouldn't let my toddler have an open beer can (picture is inconclusive as to whether beer can is open or not) but that's not my toddler, at least not as far as I know.

Marcus Aurelius: Toddlers love beer.

My sister loved beer as a toddler.  There are also family photos of me at 3, sipping red wine with my dad.

As a child the sandbox in my yard was the underage bar. We used to stuff the empties under the the sandbox.
Many years later my Dad tore up the old playground, all he wanted to know was if he could still get his deposit back at the beer distributor.

My daughter (3 years at the time) grabbed my 32oz Captain & Coke and had a decent pull on while I was grabbing another bottle from above the fridge for the hostess. She turned out alright, but I didn't let her drive home that night.

It's only Bud Light.  Less harmful than any carbonated soda...

Yeah, to clarify, when I said toddlers like beer, I did not mean Bud Light.  Giving a toddler Bud Light should be against the law.

Yeah, if you leave an empty sitting around a toddler might grab it and try to drink it. That sip of stale dregs will probably stop him from trying that again for a few years.

When I was 4, my dad took us to his office Christmas party, where his co-workers and I all talked him into letting me have a sip of beer.

/my mom was not impressed

Indeed

CSB:Hell when I was 7-9 I was always flitting about my moms parties stealing cups from people. I drank more in those two years than I did until I was 21 and you know what I was fine. The more I think about my mom's friends the was probably more in danger from hepatitis than the beer. :)

My point is  this country needs to unclench, or an enima or both.

my 3 year old had a sip of beer a few months back (from his aunt).

A couple of weeks ago I was drinking a Mexican coke (glass bottle) and I offered him a sip.  His response:

"No dad, I don't like beer"

/rubbed whiskey on his gums when he was teething

We've become such a nation of whimpering pussies.  Scouting everything for a chance to be offended, on behalf of ourselves or others.

Booze is terrible!  Someone save the children!  It's like all the prohibitionist women's groups from the turn of the century have suddenly resurrected themselves.
