Yeah, but you can't tell what's happening thanks to all the jump cuts.

I thought that 3 was actually a decent movie. It had big robots in fights that you could actually follow. 2 was the biggest piece of shiat I've ever seen. Whoever thought that including the parents in that thing should be taken out back and shot, and that's not even mentioning that stupid robot pair....

If it helps, that was written during the writer's strike.

When you have Michael Bay apologizing for a Michael Bay movie, you know it's shiat.

The attackers were in fact Transformers fans and liked Bumblebee when he was VW Bug-like and not sold to the highest auto-manufacturing bidder.

Anyone know what the going rate for assault and attempted robbery and extortion in HK?  I know nothing about Asia, except that some places seem to have harsh (to an average American) punishments.

I loved Bad Boys as well.
Coming right after his hilarious role in Fast Times, Sean Penn's performance in Bad Boys was impressive...  Great movie - includes a young The Kurgan/Mr. Crabs as well.

/What, you think there is another movie called Bad Boys??? Incorrect. There is only one....  ;^)

Bumblebee hasn't been a VW Bug in years because Volkswagen has since decided that they're actually a little sensitive about that specific brand being so closely associated with war.

/ Can't imagine why there's such a Führer over it...

13k might logistically be a hard fit without select dominations of bills,
but in terms of its value to him... he's supposedly got a net worth creeping in on $500M

If your net worth is say $200k,  I'd assume you could afford to have $5 on you at all times

That's not how it works...

Except for luxury items and trendy stores, things aren't sold to rich people at a higher price than what regular people pay, so they don't need to lug around 13K as if it was a 5 dollar bill...

I have the version of this with the white racing stripes, and I would have been happy with the nondescript hatchback mode in the movie.

The first movie was 30 minutes too long and not nearly as interesting. Yes, pretty Tea Leoni, I know. It's not nearly as good as the second, and the second is completely off the rails ridiculous. That's how NOT GOOD Bad Boys 1 is.

Maybe you missed my point? The "Bad Boys" movie I was referring to was released in ~1983, starred Sean Penn, and was not a Michael Bay production.... There no Bad Boys movies other than this one - not one, not any!  cheers

I haven't seen every one of his movies but, of those that I can remember at the moment, I liked Fast Times, Bad Boys, Carlito's Way, and This Must Be the Place.
He was fun to watch chew scenery in Gangster Squad.
I hear he's great in Milk and Dead Man Walking, but I haven't seen those.. cheers

This.

I'm not going to say Bad Boys (yes, obviously I am only talking about the 1995 film, although the unrelated 1983 film has its good points) is great, but it's Bay's best film. The Rock is awful but has moments and is amusing once or twice. Otherwise, his career as a director is a financial success story and a tragedy of the complete failure of a man. Such as.

Transformers 3 was actually pretty good; at least the best of the lot.

EyeballKid: OHHHHH, you're mad because he states his opinions that are counter to yours in public!!!!

Look, Sean Penn has frequently been bad in films. That's just how it is. The fact that he's generally insufferable in public is beside the point. He was the least talented of the Penn brothers, by a considerable margin.

He's not always bad as an actor -- I especially liked his self-deprecating turn in Being John Malkovich -- but he's done a lot of bad films. Not Tom Cruise level of bad, but bad, sort of like a sneering LeBeouf.

VW shoulder part of the blame for that one, they refuse to license the bug to Transformers/Hasbro as they don't want the name Volkswagen associated with "war toys."

I'm imagining this went down something like a scene from Sleeping Dogs. Some local triad hotshot decides he wants a piece of any action of someone daring to film in his district.
