fireclown: TheMysticS: Seriously, menfolk- do you consider that attractive enough for everyday use? Or is it just a one-off, so to speak?

I decided to go with the most ridiculously sexualized costumes out there, and power girl cosplay seemed like a good start.  I have no idea what those bosoms look like in their natural state, and assume that the costume is doing a lot of work that I don't see.

Short answer, most of us guys like women.  Boob size is details, so long as they fall within very broad guidelines.

Gotcha. Makes sense.
Thanks for the answer.
I have you farkied Marylander class of 85, since I'm a Marylander class of 86, it's important! Why, I dunno. Someone I can identify with in more than one way, I guess.
But that's not the reason I faved you, just a side note.

Well, I like them but I like almost all boobs. I've played with bigger and smaller and they've all been fun.

Will she wish they're smaller when she gets older? Probably. my wife wishes hers were smaller. But if she enjoys them now, good for her.

Okay, now I'm starting to regret the way I worded that. I just know some folks with 'bolt-ons' like someone said, and have seen stuff you can't unsee at Ocean City.
Leatherboobs.
Thanks for an answer.

Aahhh, FARK. Where a discussion on little girls Halloween costumes turns inexorably into a comparison of the relative  benefits of various tit sizes.

johneee: Uh... I forgot if I had a point.

That you're dumb? Is that the point?

johneee: I see the genderification (specific products for one gender or another rather than having gender-neutral things) of everything for kids to be problematic in and of itself.

Yep. That must have been it.

2013-10-17 05:08:03 PM
If your little girl can't decide between a superhero or a princess, how about Wonder Woman or Sailor Moon? They are both.

2013-10-17 05:23:57 PM

johneee: It's true, and the thing that always confuses me in debates like this is to what extent marketing products like this are simply a reflection of consumer preferences, and how much is an actual force that changes or pushes those preferences one way or another.

I suppose I should mention right now that I see the genderification (specific products for one gender or another rather than having gender-neutral things) of everything for kids to be problematic in and of itself. I further think that the specific gender roles assigned to boys and girls are also limiting on both side.

If we could just say that the only reason they're on the shelves is that people buy them, and so therefore it's just reacting to attitudes that are already there, well, I guess there's no problem that they reflect an incredibly reductive view of the position of women in society.

I know what you're saying but marketing didn't invent gender roles. Marketing enforces them because the people who do marketing grew up with those gender roles in mind.

The reason those gender roles exist go back to ancient times and tribes and different things people did. Now, for some people that's a naturalistic view, which is right in a sense, but very very wrong in another.

It's true that people organized in that way and it took off from there, but it's not true that it is "the natural order" of human organization. It's just the natural order that took hold in our type of society, which ended up expanding and being the most widely used model of society. Different gender and family relations developed in other cultures, but they didn't win the "genetic social race", to use an apt analogy. Tribes in the Tibet are incredibly matriarchal and the woman is the center of the family. Marriage doesn't exist and people don't leave their family houses to marry someone else. They can live alone, sure, but what usually happens is this:

A woman has 5 kids, 2 girls and 3 boys.
When they grow up, they keep living together.
The 2 sisters get men into the house to have sex with them, once they're done, the men leave.
The 3 brothers go to other women's houses to have sex with them, they go back home after that.
When the 2 sisters get pregnant, they still stay home and when they give birth, the 3 brothers take
care of the kids as if they were their own.
The kids the 3 brothers have with other women stay in those women's houses as well, to be raised
by each house, including their own brothers.

It's an interesting subversion of the paternity paradigm we have in our society. Since marriage doesn't exist, there's no tie for a woman, so she can have sex with as many men as she wants. Since it's difficult to tell who the real father is, it's up to her brothers to help raise the kids, after all, they're undeniably blood-related through the sister.
Since other men also need to take care of any child you might procreate, it balances out.

Also, the woman is the dominant one in the relations, with women having as many male partners as she wants while men usually go for only two or three.

Why not go as these ladies' alter egos, so they don't have to wear spandex/mini skirts, but could wear actual clothing that will more likely keep them warm while trick or treating?

Or go as the Venus Mutant Ninja Turtle. Only good reason for that character, really.

TheMysticS: Ima_Lurker: TheMysticS: shabu: TheMysticS: fireclown: meh.  The coded messages from the patriarchy can always be worse.

As a fairly busty lady, I'd like to say wtf? Nobody's boobs look like that. If she had no cleavage showing, you'd think they're props.
Doc took her literally when she said she wanted nice melons. They're like the size and shape of a honeydew.

I guess you go girl. More power to ya. When you get too old to possibly have beachballboobies, have them cut off all the extra skin when you size down. Otherwise it looks like your chest is melting.

Seriously, menfolk- do you consider that attractive enough for everyday use? Or is it just a one-off, so to speak?

I would never be so shallow as to limit my search for a life partner only to women with gigantic breasts. However, should my life partner happen to have gigantic breasts, then I'm gonna play it as it lies with a smile.

Well, fair enough.
Thank you also.

I would be happy to do a compare and contrast with yours but I didn't see a pic in your profile.

Seriously I agree with shabu - I'm just so happy to be invited over to play that I'm not going to complain about the toys being too big or too small.

Cool. No pics, yah. I'll go to a fark party some day but I really try to keep me and my family's pics off the web. Paranoid I guess.
My evil stepmother ruined that by posting and tagging. Bonus- 25+years employed by NSA. You'd think she'd know better.
But at least it's contained to Facebook.

But for contrast and compare, I'm D.

Some men prefer small boobs. I've known a few guys like that over my lifetime.
Yours will be nice and perky for a long time, well after mine will be bouncing off my knees.

Thanks! Yes, my littlest is ridiculously amusing. They both keep me insanely busy and exhausted, but I'm always entertained. =)

It might sound weird, but I keep all princess stuff out of the house. If someone gives us a shirt or a toy that even says, "Princess," I toss it in the trash. It's not that I hate pink and sparkles; I'm a chick and I'm intrinsically drawn to such things. It's that I hate that girls are conditioned and raised - or maybe, razed - from day one to think that they exist only to be saved by a prince, and the only reason he's "saving" them is because they're beautiful. Nothing says materialistic emptiness more than the word, "princess." I hate that toy departments split everything into girls' and boys' sections: Pink play kitchens (get back in the kitchen, ya dame) and fake fingernails and play make-up in the girls' section, and then super hero, sports, instruments, science/experiment kits are over with the boys' toys. I want my girls to be super heroes and scientists and musicians themselves. I want them to use their intelligence and personality to do good in this world. Yes, do good. I know they'll do well, but I want them to also do good for the world. I don't want them thinking they're some sort of useless political position, i.e., princess, that deserves attention just because of fortune or fame or whatever other superficial entitlement nonsense fancies such vapid girls. I want them thinking that intelligence is far superior to what to wear, and I want them to be truly good on the inside versus worrying about how they look on the outside. They're being raised on comic books and hero movies and tons of astronomy and dinosaur books and video games and instruments and music.

Sorry, I could go on for hours on this subject. Don't mind me. Back to pics of hot adult cosplay.
