The 3rd Quarter still ends September 30th, yes? And the Government Shutdown began October 1st, yes?

Just checking.

Well you can raise a lot more money than the other guy when you're not bothering to do your job while they are...

2013-10-17 12:44:26 PM
Romney outspent Obama and still got crushed. Money helps, but it's not the only factor in winning an election season.

2013-10-17 12:48:24 PM
When did we start letting GOP pundits near numbers again?

2013-10-17 12:57:03 PM
I'm sure the derp brigade had an easy time raising funds to fight the evils of Bobcare in the last 2 weeks. I'm also pretty sure the bulk of those donations came from Cletus back in his heavily gerrymandered district. So what? Does anyone think for a second that Wall st. didn't take not of every single no vote last night? Does anyone think that not only will those congressmen not only get cut off from the Wall st. cash cow but end up having them fund them opposition?

Karl Rove setup the Conservative Victory Project last Feb. for the sole purpose of dealing with primary challenges from nutbags. I wonder what kind of funding that thing will get going forward.

2013-10-17 12:57:29 PM
Uh oh, more bad news from Town Hall for Democrats! President Romney will get a good chuckle out of this!

FTFA:

But the idea that Republicans have already conceded control of the House is preposterous on its face

Yes, this idea that literally no one in the country has floated and that you just invented is completely preposterous on its face.

Also, great troll, submitter. That's how it's done.

Hey it only cost 24 Billion to get these representatives a few million in funding!

You know what they say about fools and their money.  . .

And this "news" is according to the totally-not-batsh*t people at Clownhall

2013-10-17 01:13:45 PM
well sure - I did that once
fell in love - had to have it - nobody could talk me out of it - the more they tried, the more i dug in
i spent money I really couldn't afford in an abundance of passion

it's hell when you overpay for a used car that you find out wastes gas, money and can't run half the time

they'll figure it out eventually

This is proof that the overwhelmingly vast majority of Americans wholeheartedly support the GOP and want the democrat party to die in a fire.

2013-10-17 01:15:01 PM
The Democrats have been doing what they can, and the Republicans in Congress have been refusing to work since 2010. Why should anyone pay them a cent?

2013-10-17 01:15:30 PM
The fact that they screwed the nation over fundraising wouldn't surprise me.

2013-10-17 01:15:43 PM
This is bad news for Oblahma in 2016.

2013-10-17 01:15:53 PM
They are going to need every penny.

fool 'em once, its your fault.  Letting them get fooled again, the demmycrats fault.

2013-10-17 01:19:43 PM
The many 'Hey the demz Rn't prefect!!' spin greens we are getting today just shows how bad the GOP got their asses kicked in this situation.

2013-10-17 01:22:04 PM
Ever since the Citizen United decision the disconnect between fundraisers and votes has been growing, just because you can get more money does not mean you are more likely to win the popular vote.

It's Townhall, ADB. Logic and math are tools of the liberal elite to trick you into having interracial gay sex.

The money thing is fascinating..if all potential voters still got their news peppered with ads on the TV, radio, and newspapers. So, yeah, go ahead and celebrate your slush funds, Republican Heroes, and spend your oodles of cash trying to woo those viewers and listeners who don't know how to fast-forward past commercials on their DVR, or listen to the radio instead of their custom mp3 playlist. You know, the older-aged folks......who oddly enough are already voting for you anyway.

Funny enough that it worked in the primary for Romney, but even Romney's war chest couldn't overcome Acorn Power (tm).

Holy shiat Farkers! Their going to have to 2 people to clean up the skeet on the walls. You'd think someone was handing out participation ribbons in here.

The fact that they don't mention the time frame in which that campaign money was raised is leading me to believe that this might be the reason.

So who is automatically President, Cruz or Boehner?

I was thinking that the best instrument for beating Tea Party candidates was a well soaked rattan cane.

We need for the Democrats to call for all campaign contributions to the representatives that voted for default to go straight to deficit reduction until all $24 B. is paid back.

Wierd. That's what I usually call my penis.

More money just means the media folk are going to get rich before your campaign explodes and you have to make an 'on the spot' concession speech because you bought into your own hype.

It probably still helped though.  By the 30th they already had the gun loaded, cocked, and pressed up against the country's head, and they were crowing about it.  Too bad we won't get the 4th quarter report broken down by day.

2013-10-17 01:33:45 PM
I think that this is truly a harbinger of "real America" coming to their senses and voting with their hard-earned dollars to fight back against the wasteful spending in Washington and the shocking executive overreach of the current administration.  Both sides are bad, of course.

Just throwing that out there.  Thoughts?

So, basically, the Republicans damaged themselves so much in the 3rd Quarter, that the Koch brothers had to increase the funneling of money to them through their various PACs so they GOP could rehabilitate their image. That's a mighty fine accomplishment.

Have a feeling the derp is just too strong with that state...

Money 'helps', but you still need a candidate that doesn't actively seek to sabotage his own campaign.

Chik-Fil-A effect. The more the repubs shoot themselves in the foot, the more a certain class of people is willing to buy them ammunition.

Sometimes I think I'd like to lead a push to get term limits for presidents dropped so we could re-elect Obama...just because I would LOVE to see the raw emotional maelstrom that would erupt from the far right if that happened.

there is no way the lying propagandizing human garbge in the GOP will suffer any long or short term consequences from the shutdown

I don't think anyone doubted that the shutdown would be good for Tea Party fundraising.

The 'Liberal' Media will never call them on their shiat. Even NPR refers to it as the Government shutdown, because they are terrified of assigning blame or reporting facts.
Both sides are always bad.

Poll numbers suggest that the American people don't need to be told who's to blame.
