Yep.  And I was one of the people who transmitted to it using Morse code via ham radio.

This was to see if the WAVE experiment could hear the collective transmissions on the 10 Meter band.  I don't know if it was successful, though, because the spacecraft went into "safe mode" during the close encounter.

I love how unabashedly geeked Plait is about this.  I know that this is a smart man and a really deep scientist, but it's fun to see how he just drops all that and says "HOLLY BATS!  THAT'S JUST REALLY COOL!"
