Naw, fark that.  biatches be crazy.

And maybe, JUST MAYBE, men are shamed more for being open about depression and other mental issues and so avoid going to doctors, let alone getting medical treatment for their problem.

And this story hasn't been made into a rom-com yet why?  Every single woman over 30 would watch this movie about 5 times in the theaters and then about 100 times when it came on Lifetime.

A former coworker of mine was planning her future wedding, she had the magazines out all the time pouring through them cutting out pictures of stuff she liked. She was online looking at venues to hold the wedding and on weekends she would visit some of these places. She had everything except the guy. She would go on about her list of the qualities her man. If a man like the one she had dreamed up existed he would have been snatched up quick or he was a Disney character.

My understanding (prejudice?) is that women are more able to communicate their problems with others, and develop stronger support systems.  Or maybe this expectation means that they're treated with drugs rather than counseled?

I strongly suspect the doctors were just trying to shut them up so they didn't have to listen.

The article has a blurb that says 'DO YOU KNOW (whatever her name was)? PLEASE CONTACT US!'

Which means they have no farking verification, they just ran a story because it was well written. Good farking job journalism.

Judging by the photo caption, she sounds rather stock-up.

/ smells like a PR stunt by the wedding planner who is telling the story and mentioned by name and website

I'd bury my sword in her.

Ask yourself this - going by the (stock) photo, she's attractive, young, and if the clearly bogus story is to be believed as written, apparently can afford to throw a lavish, pointless "wedding." So, why is she single? Always ask yourself this question.

The story's a long, pointless advertisement for a wedding planner, nothing more.

I never said I'd marry her. I know most Farkers think that once you bed a woman, you're in it for life.

I think the point is "never stick your dick in crazy." You may think you're done with her, but, trust me, she isn't done with you.

hasty ambush: Satan's Bunny Slippers: And women wonder why a large portion of the population think know they are crazy.

Women And Prescription Drugs: One In Four Takes Mental Health Meds

One of the more startling statistics in the report, which analyzed prescription claims data from 2.5 million insured Americans from 2001 to 2010, is that one in four women is dispensed medication for a mental health condition, compared to just 15 percent of men.

Antidepressant use especially is high among women, up 29 percent since 2001, the report showed, and anti-anxiety meds are used by women at almost twice the rate seen among men. In 2010, 11 percent of middle-aged women were on an anti-anxiety medication, while only 5.7 percent of men that age were. There's also a gender shift when it comes to the use of drugs for ADHD in adulthood: although the disorder is thought to afflict primarily young boys, slightly more women use ADHD medications as adults than men.

Couldn't possibly be that women are *gasp* different from men and are treated differently than men, and are thrown medication instead of having a way to actually deal with the underlying causal issues?

Naw, fark that.  biatches be crazy.

There is a lot of cra-cra in this article.  I don't mind someone embracing the single lifestyle and celebrating it.  But what she did was akin to a sterile woman walking around with a doll, constantly trying to nurse it.

And the dude who feels like his only options are to cower away from her or show up in full armor, yeah, that's stable.

Not just single women.  I did not know it was possible to wear out a DVD until my lovely and beautiful wife (who couldn't possibly know my Fark handle, uh, right Honey?) got a copy of Bride and Prejudice.

Don't speak for this single woman, please.  Rom-coms make me want to throw up.

Wife: No one! Wow, she's throwing a wedding for herself!
Me: Hand me the invitation. We're out of toilet paper.

Even better: that's not just a wedding planner, it looks like a wedding-themed online shop which happens to currently do a " Relocation Clearance Sale - Ends midnight 1st November."  to quote its website.

The only way that story would have been better is if two guys had shown up wearing armor.

Three dudes and you really would have the makings of a rom-com.  Mama-Mia for the Me Generation.
