Hmmm. How many parts of someone else's pee per million would I find acceptable in my drinking water....

2013-10-16 04:25:55 PM
Exactly how many cities around the world use surface water for drinking that are also used for recreational purposes?

Welcome to our reservoir. Notice there's no "p" in it.

Didn't this happen months, if not years ago, and there was more than 1 person polluting it, to the point to where it needed cleaned?

<Chairman Kaga voice>If I recall correctly</Chairman Kaga voice> this happened a while ago, and like this time it was one guy taking a leak in the reservoir, which for some reason meant that the whole reservoir needed to be drained. The public works director here is evidently W.C. Fields.

Fair enough, but according to CNN, this happened June 16,  2011.  Way to be timely with the news, Daily Fail.

It's reasonable to be concerned about human specific pathogens in your water supply.

I don't know about the multiple pissers, but this is a very old story.

So it's ok for rats, mice, raccoons, bears, deer, etc etc etc to piss in it?

It's too bad there isn't some sort of disinfectant that could purify water that has had living creatures peeing in it.

2013-10-16 04:56:12 PM
It wasn't one person peeing in it, it was the thousands of people that don't realize open air water gets peed in.  BY THE BIRDS.  and idiots, and worse. who then freaked out.

Remember folks, a person is smart, but people are idiots.

Yeah, Fark just steals whatever they can from Reddit's website.  This ran yesterday on Reddit.  That's why Fark found out about it.  Always at least a day or so behind Reddit.  You should go check it out sometime.

It has nothing to do with science and the officials admit as much in the article.

It has to do with 'OMG PEEEEEEE'

Meanwhile, they fish out dead birds on a pretty regular basis.

A peeing incident happened this Wednesday, but "ecause the urinating man was not charged or arrested he has not been named."

A lot of the rest of the article deals with the 2011 incident, because they had names andquotes they could run from it.

Why am I arguing on the internet?  I'm going to go get pissed and drown myself.
