Mcavity: The Homer Tax: MindStalker: DrPainMD: "Hope and change" Obama turned out to be nothing more than G.W. Bush III, and he got re-elected.He changed to match the realities that are the office. A single president can't change much. But he certainly has gotten a lot done given the stranglehold that congress has on him. Here's what I don't get, of Obama is just another GW Bush, why do Republicans hate him so much? They loved GW Bush.because hes just so Bla...
DrPainMD: Alphax: It certainly puts down, like a mad dog, the idea that Republicans can be negotiated with. They can't even agree with themselves, nor will they keep their word on anything. Why would they keep their word? "Hope and change" Obama turned out to be nothing more than G.W. Bush III, and he got re-elected. As long as people hold their noses and vote for the candidate they hate the least, nobody in D.C. is going to pay any attention to what the people want.
Some 'Splainin' To Do: Does anyone remember that scene in Rome where Marc Antony is supposed to veto a symbolic measure to declare Caesar an outlaw but gets shouted down by a mob of senators before he can actually raise the veto, with the end result being the destruction of the Republic over a measure that no one, including the people who raised it, wanted to actually pass?Yeah, I'm kind of getting that feeling while watching this mess. Let's hope that the consequences for our own republic won't be as dire.
Ricardo Klement: The Tea Party is a cancer and it's metastasized in the party's leadership. We're going to get a whole hell of a lot sicker if we undergo chemo and radiation therapy, but we'll live. Unfortunately, the cancer gets a vote.
wesmon: I thought the House of Representatives already was an open bar?
clkeagle: I know. Both sides ARE bad. But, obviously, the Democrats are worse. Amirite? They certainly sound worse when you tell blatant lies.
pueblonative: liam76: How does that election work?Do they all vote, or does the dominant party?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_of_Representatives# Me mber_officialsTheoretically, the speaker doesn't even need to be a representative. Of course, theoretically I could end up banging Kate Upton too.
CPennypacker: John Boner will crash the entire world economy to keep the extra $49k a year he gets as speaker
WippitGuud: hardinparamedic: Evacuate? In our moment of triumph?![images.wikia.com image 850x637]You SEVERELY UNDERESTIMATE the potential danger the democrats pose. This shutdown will continue. And fear will keep the local gerrymandered districts in line.I always wondered....If Boehner is Tarkin... does that make Cruz Vader?
Smidge204: Stupid WYSIWYG editor, hiding the fact I posted the wrong link![i.imgur.com image 600x422]
Deneb81: And until Obama starts a program of firing career, non-political employees, and replacing them solely from barely accredited liberal arts colleges based on political affiliation it's not the same.
Weaver95: Oh fark you iPad autocorrect.
T-Servo: I'm not sure I like the headline's metaphor, seeing as a zombie apocalypse is what we're fearing the most now./need some new mods for my baseball bat
Corvus: And then blame Obama for what they caused.
