Maybe people are finally realizing their food is crap and they pay their employees jack shiat.

McDonald's had $5.5B in profit last year, so that kind of like prestige.

If McDonalds wants to have a huge increase in business there's a simple solution:  offer breakfast all day.   Right now I might go to McDonalds once a month or so.  If they offered breakfast all day, it would be closer to once a week.

Stop with the BS like wraps and wings.  Other places make better wraps, and plenty of places make shiatty wings already.  I don't need to go to McDonalds for either.  However, I can't get an Egg McMuffin or Steak Egg and Cheese Bagel at 9pm anywhere.  Fill that niche McDonalds, there are a lot of people that want it.

Exactly....these damn things are delicious and are fairly healthy compared to other breakfast sandwiches.

Just go to Jack in the Box, they serve breakfast all day and I think their egg biscuits are better than McDonalds.

Also, I had to laugh one time when I got a Spanish omelet bagel from McDs once and the receipt read "SpOBag".

Sounds like someone at Goldman Sachs wanted the share price to drop a bit so they could buy more.

No JITBs around here.  They don't have much of an east coast presence.

Sonic does breakfast all day, and there are a couple in town, but they're just really inconvenient for where I live.

There is a McD's right next to where I work. It is one of two drive-thru places within easy driving distance. It's their niche: be everywhere.

State? I live in Virginia, surrounded by Sheetz, but within an hour or so drive of a Wawa if necessary.

Florida. No Wawa here either (well, not in South FL anyway, they're starting to come down through north and central FL).  There's no White Castle or Krystal anywhere near either.  It's really a wasteland in terms of the better fast food offerings.

And consistent.  That's the impressive part about McDonald's, I can get a meal just about anywhere and it will taste as it should / I'm used to. Although I really really wish that they'd bring Curry Sauce here from Singapore. That stuff was awesome.

Perhaps it has something to do with offering shiat fake food that kills you.

Your local McDonald's offers bagels? Lucky! We have no bagel sandwiches on our menus. :(

They're using cheaper sources of ground-up styrofoam and sawdust to make their food and people are noticing.

Sonic is odd, for about 10 years I have seen the commercials here but the closest ones are 2 hours away last time I checked. I know a lot of places would play commercials in an are before they opened one up but really its been ten years.

I think Sonic tries to compete with Dairy Queen for the road trip pit stops.

They brew a mean cup of coffee these days. Great cup and lid too, very important to the rental car warrior business man crowd.

I like enough item menus to get a decent meal there on the cheap, and their payment structure is of no concern to me.

/spent three years earning minimum wage at a fast food chicken restaurant; if people stopped eating there because of my bad pay ... well, that wouldn't have helped me at all.

I can't speak toward the wings (although there was a whole thread about them), but I'm a fan of the snack wraps. When I go I either get a sandwich from the dollar menu, some nuggets, or two snack wraps. Also, I'd definitely be happy with the ability to get an Egg McMuffin and hash brown stick at dinner time.

/eat there 2-3 times per month; prefer home-cooked meals but sometimes the family is out running around and I don't want to spend $40 getting dinner.

I think they should embrace their reputation as the lowest of the low.  That's the only reason people go there.
