FTFA Local authorities called officials at Ft. Riley for help - everyone with just one hope that the fragile bomb didn't go boom.

Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom!

"Anthony Scardino and his wife were doing some landscaping at his century-old home near West 68th Street and Santa Fe Drive in Overland Park when about 18 inches underground his shovel hit an artillery shell.

"I pulled it out of the ground, and I realized it was some sort of projectile," Scardino said. "

Lucky bastard the thing didn't go boom. He needs to go play the lottery now.

What do you expect a state governed by the Tea Party to grow?  Pansy assed FOOD?

While I can vouch for your statement, I'd like to point out that you could instead be living in Wichita. The place is like living inside an ectothermic arsehole.

No shiat. I just checked Facebook, and my Teaderpist grandfather asked me to join the group "Christians Against Obama's Re-Election."

Scaled to state population numbers, and it's sort of terrifying.

No the tornado is. If you want to reach Oz you just have to jump into a tornado or commit a felony in the state of New York and get sent to the Oswald State Correctional Facility.

You can also reach Oz by shipwreck, if you can find a way to cross the deadly desert.
And by taking the wrong road in KS, and by getting stuck in a cave at high tide, and by earthquake.
And by magic, but only if initiated from the Oz side ... and ...

You're halfway right, Sasnak owns Carlos O'Kellys and is an Applebees franchisee. They were a tenant of a company I used to work for and hangared their aircraft with us. David Rolph was the president of Sasnak then and a helluva nice guy, his son Jon has since taken over as president.

He could beat that thing with his shovel for ever and the chances of it going off are very slim.
That is if is is an actual real round as opposed to a dummy round. Some are extremely difficult to tell the difference once some jackass paints them the right color which I have seen.
Plus the years underground would certainly remove much, if not all markings and paint any way.
Now back to the round in the story. It probably was so water soaked that they couldn't detonate it with outside charges.
