They're falling on the power rankings, they're failing everywhere else.

Why not both?

Packers will be in the top 3 by December. We seem to thrive on injuries (Cobb, Matthews, Jones, Bulaga etc.) a la 2010.

2013-10-15 01:59:07 PM
Tom Brady got the headlines, but the defense held Drew Brees to 0-for-6 with an interception targeting Jimmy Graham. The team effort continues in Foxborough.

You know, the Saints lost primarily because they did not play well, but it's tough when the refs blow an offsides call on fourth down, and turn the other way on some other calls like Junior Galette getting closelined on the winning TD play, not to mention the Patriots getting a fourth time out. But, the Saints should have played better and not let the refs bullshiat affect the outcome the way it did.

We have two active wide receivers (one of which is named Boykin) ...and jermichael.

Just so farking weird.

The Jags deserve a bump after their effort against Denver.

I'd take them over the Bucs.

Welcome, one and all, to the triumphant return of NFL Fark Trivia, week 7 or 6 or whatever number we want to assign to it. Sorry I didn't bring trivia around last week, but I was off in enemy territory (New York) getting married. Married life isn't really much different but I have had to cut back on the sex with truckers for meth.

Let's get started! There's 12 questions, 4 categories this week: Leaders, Laggers, Precarious Positions, and Cockblocking Referees. As always feel free to write your answers in the the provided answer sheet at the end of the quiz and post them in the thread so we can mock you.

Leaders:

1. Who led the NFL in passing yards this week?
2. Who led the NFL in receiving yards this week?
3. Which QB had the highest QB rating this week?

Laggers:

1. Which QB took 10 sacks this week?
2. Among the first 10 RBs taken in fantasy drafts, one is at the bottom of the league in YPC. Who is it?
3. In spite of still leading the league in receiving yards, this player was held to 0 catches this week. Who is it?

Who are these three players in precarious positions?

These 3 referee signals mean it's a good indication you're not getting laid. What do they mean?

2013-10-15 02:07:01 PM

Treygreen13: Cockblocking Referees:
1. Illegal use of hands

3

. Ineligible man downfield

/"Giving him the business" is still A-OK

2013-10-15 02:07:52 PM
My two teams are 18 and 19. Browns over Rams, but it seems to me the Rams are better. Especially with Weedon back.

/haven't seen either team play because I don't live in either market
//only a Browns fan because I grew up there.

///Oh, and wtf happened in the Rams-Tex game? Is Houston that bad? or have the Rams shown some improvement?

tommyl66: 3. Ineligible man downfield

Unfortunately, this one is funny but is not the correct answer. The correct answer is pretty funny too.

konigsforst: ///Oh, and wtf happened in the Rams-Tex game? Is Houston that bad? or have the Rams shown some improvement?

A lil from column A, a little from column B.

Texans fell apart. Kubiak is a pussy. Shaub is damn near broken both mentally and physically. Our special teams is getting more and more "special". Our defense is farking tired because the offense can't stay on the field. Etc, etc.

2013-10-15 02:10:27 PM
The refs were horrendous in the Saints v Pats game. How do you not let a qb call a timeout?

2013-10-15 02:13:38 PM

scottydoesntknow: //And fire Kubiak immediately

This!  His press conferences are getting as predictable as his play calling. "Oh yea well you know we just need to play better.  We aren't playing too well right now and that's on me.  If we start to play better we will have better results."

/kinda want a hardass like bill cowher to come in next season.

Poor Buffalo, the Rodney Dangerfield of the NFL.

Bears at 10 seems about right. I'll feel better with a top-10 ranking when the defense (paraphrasing Bart Scott) "can stop a nosebleed".

And shame on me for not calling "Illegal Substitution" by its proper name:

Don't forget that Kelly has both QBs take reps with the first team on a regular basis. Having said that, I'm fairly certain that Vick will be declared "not quite 100%", needs more rest" for this game.

Yep. I don't think the Saints played poorly, exactly, although they were outplayed. I don't like to complain about officiating, but the built-in Foxborough bias the refs seem to show was salt in the wound. Patriot entitlement syndrome is a big part of the reason I despise those Boston dickbags,

Ravens are about right. Maybe a little high.

They have quite possibly the worst offensive line in football.

The center Gino Gradkowski is rated 34th among NFL starters by PFF. 34th! That's not a typo - he's behind two backups who are starting!

FTFA:  "QBs with at least eight passes, two touchdowns and no incompletions against at least five rushers since the start of 2008: Drew Brees, Tom Brady Brett Favre and ... Sam Bradford."

Incredibly obscure stat is incredibly obscure.

2013-10-15 02:30:56 PM
Bears at 10 is about right. They struggled against... the Giants. Speaking of which, I'm surprised that the Jags weren't bumped up a spot vs. the Giants, given that they actually showed up to play against Denver. Yeah, I know, there are no moral victories in football.

My favorite play was the hawk delayed blitz where he literally ran right past the guard who was not blocking anyone and had no one else in front of him.

/don't mean to rub it in. Just agreeing.

I aint gonna dwell on the loss. Its an AFC away game at Foxboro. Hard to win and the least important kind of game to win. I have to hand it to Belichick for coming up with the perfect game plan to beat the Saints. Saints had their chances to win and blew them. Shiat happens. Well done Pats.

2013-10-15 02:32:26 PM
Hey, I didn't like those headscratching calls either, and God I wish the arm around Galette's neck was called, but they just needed a first down.  Twice.  Then we're all in here yukking it up, having a grand old time talking about pulling that off in Gilette, no less.  I just wish they got that first.  Then oh...Belichick's lost it, Brady's on the downswing with that INT being the lasting image all week...ugh.  I hope the residents of Earth-2 on "Fringe" are enjoying that.

Yeah. The left guard (Kolechi Osemele) isn't particularly good either.
Actually he's downright bad.

But not as bad as Gradkowski - who rode Raji back four yards into the backfield to assist on the tackle of Ray Rice.

I noticed drew brees called several timeouts because of play clock mismanagement

Either way, saints had 2 drives to seal the deal and both drives they went 3-and-out

I know. Being light years ahead of the Falcs certainly helps me move on. Given our upcoming schedule we'd have to try not to win our division.

It was a heartbreaker, but in two weeks it'll be forgotten.
