Make me feel a little better about the Cowboys losing to both of them I guess.

Their defense is the highest points scorer on my ff team (one point more than romo) and their next game is against the Houston pick sixes.

I am second in my league.

I have that Chiefs D too. It's probably my best player.

I won my first game this season by the highest margin in our league, then have lost each game since.

Same here.  It's coming... we just won't know when.  A 2-14 record can't be wiped away this easy.

Typical KC sports fan. Why can't you enjoy the good time we are having? The Chiefs are winning. Mizzou has a chance at the SEC East title. The Royals had a winning season and SportingKC is playoff bound. We haven't had it this good in decades.

Eh, they're gonna crap the bed at some point. Every team does.

That Week 9 trip to Buffalo, right before a bye week? I'd grab an extra sixer of Boulevard.

Well, the schedule gets a bit tougher from here out, but nothing too bad.  Hope you can take down Denver.

The Broncos-Chiefs games should be very interesting. Denver has the highest PF, and KC has the lowest PA.

December. That's when they always crap the bed. That and the playoffs.

KC hasn't won a playoff game since 1993, with another 49'rs castoff at QB. If they don't break that streak this year, it isn't getting broken.

Firstly: Not a KC sports fan, just a Chiefs fan. Don't really follow college football and baseball is too boring for me.

Secondly: I'm loving every minute of every single win. I'm just trying to keep my excitement level down a bit based on the past history of the team. Mark my words: As soon as the let-down game or month or whatever occurs (if it does), I'll be the first one on here defending them!

Ah, I remember the good old days of August when saying the Chefs would be decent this year got you a boat load of snark in response.

I'm sure everyone will now praise me for my psychic abilities... or at least the ability to recognize that a team with a weak schedule and solid players should be able to make a run.  Either way works for me.

Both the Chiefs and Broncos' opponents so far are 11-25.  So don't take any shiat from Broncos fans!  lol

Low blow, Subby... the Chiefs go 6-0 at least once a decade.  How many other teams can claim such high marks?

I mean, as long as you're only counting the last two decades...

I don't like thinking about 2003. I remember something about the playoffs, then my nose starts to bleed and I pass out.

Yeah, but then in the playoffs we had to go through Peyton Manning and the Colts...  nothing at all like that might happen THIS year...

...

OK, in all honesty, I've heard a few too many comparisons between this team and 2003.  The main thing, we were an all-offense, very little defense team then, relying on running up the score more than the other team, behind Trent Green, and the Colts were almost the same, except they had Peyton Manning.  Of course they were going to outscore us, even if just a little (was fun to watch the only game where neither team punted, though).

This year, the Broncos are a lot like the Colts, but with a worse defense, and the Chiefs are running one of the best Defenses.  The Colts O-Line is vulnerable.  I think KC wins at least one of our two games this regular season, with a shot at both.  Right now, we have the tie breaker over the Broncos (you have to go down the list a few, to combined rankings, PF and PA in conference games).

Except now the Chiefs offense is Charles, Charles, and more Charles. Any team that can get Charles contained and makes Alex Smith beat them is going to slap them around on the road in the playoffs.

Trade the Titans for the Ravens and it's the same as Denver. Do you critique them for the same thing?

That's more of a scheduling oddity than anything special.

I'm a KC fan, who realizes the Chargers are better than their record. Great game they had last night. Their D stepped up.

It's certainly possible. For example, the Cowboys haven't played the Eagles yet. If they weren't both mediocre teams they could conceivably both be 6-0.

I loathe the Chargers.
I have a healthy respect for the Chiefs, and I love the games.

God damn, I can't wait. It's going to be a bloodbath.

No, because the national media hasn't told him how easy the donkeys schedule has been.

Has anyone pointed out that teams typically play other teams in their division somewhere within the first 6 games?  I like the schedule leaving the meaningful division games for later, more drama.
