BATMANATEE: Mr. Eugenides: New York is a dying city. New York in 2013 is Detroit from 30 years ago. New York's engine was banking and investments. 30 years ago, you needed physical proximity to trade today you don't. The fact that banking and investments are located there is simply due to history and much like the auto factories around Detroit they are falling into ruin. In a generation We'll be joking about New York the way Detroit is mocked today.NYC isn't a one horse boom town like Detroit.
