Not using Facebook is still free.

He seems to value privacy over anything and is slowly removing it for his users.

maybe his users should realize they are using a free service and stop being so entitled to privacy on a public site they so willingly signed up for?

kids, remember this about everything you get for "free" on the internet: if you're not paying for it, you aren't the customer, you are the product.

kosherkow: FTGodWin: Wow, the number of stupid farkers in this thread who don't understand that Zuckerberg owes them nothing is astounding.

Don't like it, don't use it. How is this so difficult to understand?

apparently for some, incredibly difficult.

/a free service to the consumer does not mean it is free of operating costs

//i guess some just feel a bit entitled

So complaining is no longer allowed?

I love how it goes straight to "entitlement" when there's a hypocrisy complaint against the founder.

If anything it's a bait and switch scenario, and guess what? Deleting your account doesn't delete your info.

That's right, because if it's free, he owns us.

Maybe stand for what you believe in?

you're kidding right?  Facebook is a "free" service.  Who pays for the infrastructure to keep the "free" service running?  should zuckerberg front the bill so that ad revenue is not needed?

i do stand for what i believe in, by not using facebook.  i used it initially in 2004-2006 but after that kind of dropped off the map.

maybe read the terms of service before you sign up for something and not biatch about it later for your ignorance

Terms of service?

As in "we do what we want when we want, tough shiat"? The site has been falling for sometime, this isn't what any of us signed up for.

Unfortunately, we all can't be hipsters that follow every change like yourself.

Sometimes people can follow principles because of what they believe in. Mark is clearly socially awkward and values his privacy. Just no one else's.

People agree that it's no longer what they signed up for, yet they still stay...
