Down here in NC there's no such thing as the "sun". The world is perpetually covered in a grey blanket, and the wind blows damp and chill from the east. I won't believe in a burning ball of gas in the sky until I see one!

It rained for 4 days, not 4 months. Hardly startling in an area regularly affected by the weather oddities of hurricane season.

???

We've had a whole three or four days of cloudy weather in early Autumn. Last weekend was beautiful. It's hardly been like coming out of mid-winter in the Yukon.

About time too. Got bored this weekend so I cleaned a lot. Found way too many of my roomates underwear in the couch, she is such a slob.

I think the longest time we had rain here was for almost 2 weeks. It was when I was in high school and we just had this steady rain. It was rather depressing.

This is the 5th day of overcast.
I'm about to start drinking coffee and listening to Nirvana.

Um...here in Bethesda, we haven't seen the sun in 10 days now. I'm starting to grow mold. Normally, the seasonal-affective waits until February to kick in...

This is news? It's Oct.. Gloom and week long stretches of rain is the norm in the Northeast October - November.  Then Dec-Feb everyone is on suicide watch because it's sunny and clear outside but cold as fark

10 days? I'm right next door to Bethesda and last weekend was 90 degrees and sunny. Yeah, the week after that sucked, especially being cooped up indoors and furloughed, but it has not been 10 days.

Yea, subby. Not sure what you're on about. It happens from time to time, and then it stops and we're fine.

The burning question is why is your roomie taking off her underwear while on the couch?

The glare from said fireball will blind drivers and create traffic problems.

I'm pretty sure she owes me a new couch with stain guard at this point.

Last sunny day was what, last Friday? Saturday? Ok, not 10. But too damn long either way.

Here in NJ it went for over 2 weeks without a drop of rain, and barely a cloud in the sky.  That's unusual at any time of the year.

About 20 years ago, I remember one year where it rained, at least a little bit, every single day, for over a year.
The summer was very green and lush.  But the shore communities hated it because it killed the tourist season.

As usual east coasters overblowing their problems, here in NE Ohio we get a whole 66 sunny days with an additional 97 partly sunny days on average, the other half of the year is overcast with most of the winter a grey depressing morass. I'm just glad I got my company to buy full spectrum bulbs for over my area, it really helps fight the seasonal affective disorder.

Dang, was hoping it would rain enough to flood the rats out of the Capitol.

Step one, acquire women's underwear.

Step two, contact men in Japan.

Step three, profit.

Clearly it's a sign of a debt ceiling deal! I hope!

*Reads random article*

While Reid, D-Nev., said there was not yet an accord, he said he hoped to have a proposal to outline when the two men and House leaders meet with Obama at mid-afternoon. Emerging from Reid's office, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., said "he told us the negotiations were productive and positive."

AM I A WIZARD?

She's leaving snail trails on the suede. Her suitors, skidmarks.
