Yes, because there was no greed in any other era. It's totally not the fault of horrible regulation of the economy; greed was invented in 2003 or so, no one could have expected it!

I would have greeted this statement with applause if it had been stated from a cage after 23 years of a 100 year sentence served for crimes against humanity.

So deregulate more??!?

Didn't Greenspan say something exactly like this back in 2008? Is somebody trying to sell a book or what?

He ought to be put to work fixing all the badly built structures Haliburton put up in Iraq.  He's responsible for letting his Vice President funnel millions of dollars to HIMSELF while his company put up structures that couldn't withstand being pissed on.

I can't wait until Ted Cruz looks back and tells us all how pride and ignorance were the causes of the great '13 Depression.

2013-10-14 02:49:06 PM
Does he mean the two big tax cuts for the rich he engineered?

Or the war profiteering from his invasion of Iraq?

Bush did admit that Wall Street got drunk. That it has a hangover and needs to sober up.

This was back in 2008.

You mean the drydrunk silverspoon AWOL cokehead permanent-vacation who failed at every single thing he ever did, and had to be bailed out of one slimey business deal after another, who smeared his opponent, a decorated combat veteran, as a deserter, even though he partied in a VIP no-combat National Guard unit, who started a monstrous bloody war on lies, made jokes about those lies, strutted like a kid in a Halloween costume across an aircraft carrier, groped a foreign head of state like a frat boy, proved himself incapable of putting together even the simplest of sentences without sounding like a character from Deliverance, and can't even eat a farking pretzel without almost killing himself, he's so irredeemably stupid and incompetent at even the simplest of activities?

That George W. Bush?

Every Randian needs to watch his exchange with Waxman from '09 to really get a sense of the failures involved with their ideology.

Article writer made a funny:

"President Bush was faithful to his pledge to eliminate the federal government's budget surplus. "

Reminds me of this Onion classic:

Bush: 'Our Long National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity Is Finally Over'

Randians are at cult level at the moment.  There are no facts that could get them to self-reflect.

Alright, bickerers. You know what? I do miss W. And I miss the Neocons, too. And above all of them, I miss Nixon himself.

I found everything they ever did appalling and grotesque. But compared to the Tea Party, they at least did something.

The Tea Party funders clink champagne glasses while their minions chug Coors Light while real Americans scramble to hold up a collapsing ideal. They intentionally poisoned a process which has almost always been nonpartisan for the sake of Rapture.

If only they knew their sacrifices were in vain. Khorne accepts only blood.

Kibbler: sounding like a character from Deliverance

And that was a sham.  If you hear him speak at the GOP convention where his Daddy was running for a second term he sounds like the Ivy League legacy that he is.

Sir (and I use the term loosely, you dog turd), you would be wise to not remind us that you are still alive.

/love to see that SOB and his cronies bagged and shipped to The Hague.

Remember, these are the same people who threw a fit at the reports that the "Rally to Restore Sanity/Fear" had about 225,000 people, while the "Rally to Promote Glenn Beck's Latest Book" drew less.

Maybe. I have a different theory. I think W has had a degenerative cognitive disorder that has been slowly destroying his linguistic faculties.

Subby was wrong. That article was not written by Bush, nor does it quote Bush. It's an excerpt from a book by someone else blaming Bush.

Quit slagging on that poor hollow withered shell of a man; he can't help it if he's an empty shriveled sack. All that decidering was too much to ask of a country club buffoon. His intellectuals got all wandered and it's a horrible waste.
