Every team has assholes as fans. He got tossed from what turned out to be an awesome game cause he is a d-bag. Sounds just about karmically right.

Sure, assuming you ignore the Giants (23) and the Cardinals (16), and don't mind sharing #3 with the Cubs (15).  Yeah, they're easily #1.

I'm just getting tired of the red sox players biatching and complaining about actual strikes.  The tigers just walk back to the dugout, the sox have to act like they've been maligned throughout history.

skinink: I'm subby. A big Red Sox fan and though I didn't watch the game but when I read all the stories I felt bad. Boston is a great town and lots to do and see (and welcome tourists!) but there are too many people in Boston like this jerk. I hope the media finds out his name and publishes it.

He abused a visiting fan, which sucks, and he was openly racist about it. The last year of the old Yankee Stadium me and other Red Sox fans went there for a Yankees/Red Sox game and we wore team gear. The fans and the workers were nothing but nice.

I've been a yank fan since I was a kid, I visited old Yank stadium and fenway, both trips I ran into assholes - doesn't matter where you go they always exist. I went to an irish pub to have a few beers, little did I know it was a Sox Haven, mix alcohol some people really get stupid in a hurry.
The percentage of assholes to fans are quite wide, after 20 minutes in a Sox pub I was shooting darts and having beers with two die hard fans.

I've ran into my share of pricks, they give baseball a bad name among with the cheaters, fans should outcast them because they simply give their team a bad name and reputation.

Eh, the Tigers have had their share of complaints with balls and strikes -- heck, Miggy got thrown out of two games this season for arguing a strike call and he was really rather relaxed about it both times.  I don't recall who it was but there was a time during the game last night when I thought a Sox player should have been tossed.

Publikwerks: Well, since the list was never released, and it was only "leaked" to one site(where it spread all over the internet), I would hardly call that a definitive source.

It was pretty definitive for A-Rod.

And yes, he was on the same list as arod and manny (the 2003 positive for steroid test result list). He was juicing. No doubt about it. The whole "they never said what he tested positive for" or "it was a vitamin!" is a bunch of bullshiat. Steroid tests do not work that way and anyone who says they do doesn't know wtf they are talking about.

As for this year? Yes, his numbers are suspicious and as the biogenesis thing taught us, passing drug tests means nothing

LIsten, we can both sit here and argue like we know what the hell we are talking about. But both of us don't know shiat. Catch him cheating and I'll give you credit. Otherwise, you're just yapping to someone who really doesn't give a shiat what you think.

You think I'm gonna say "Your right, Ortiz should really give back that GS."?
LOLOLOL

Yeah i don't know this year, but it is possible. He juiced in the past, why stop now?

Or do you really believe that he failed a steroid test by not taking a steroid?

I said Yankee "legends and Hall of Fame inductees," which means I'm counting players who have not (yet) been inducted into the HOF.  Reading comprehension - it's handy.

"legends" is pretty qualitative.  Every team has fans that would consider some players to be legends that other teams' fans wouldn't.  You could also argue that the Yankees have more notable assholes throughout history than any other team.

I won't argue it's qualitative, which is why I said "I think" the Yankees are #1.

When it comes to assholes, A-Rod and Clemens stand out, this is true - but considering the Red Sox had Papelbon and Manny Ramirez, I think it would be a pretty even race.

PApelbon is just a douchebag, David Ortiz is a juicer.

Honestly, I'm reading and posting less and less lately because of the absolute derp around here. You can post a comment which has absolutely nothing to do with race, and someone will call you a RACISTRACISTRACIST, I'm just about done.

Publikwerks: The Loaf: Publikwerks: BTW - Yes, I know Papi juiced. But I'm not claiming the game isn't tainted or that the Red Sox are some paragone of virtue. I think, like alot of the teams, they are looking to move on past that era, knowing they all bear some of the taint.

Most teams don't have their taint batting clean-up.

And I'm still not convinced he's off the juice:

Boston was winning 7-2 at that point.

To be fair, he was on the list, but the list didn't necessarily mean he was juicing. And he never 'looked' like he juiced. But whatever, you can't prove you didn't juice.

In Chicago, we throw the opponents' home runs back. If you are smart, you bring an extra ball with you. That way, if you catch a home run from the other team, throw that ball back onto the field and keep the actual home run ball.

People will chant "Throw it back" until something gets thrown back to the field. If you don't do it, somebody next to you with a spare ball will toss theirs onto the field. Generally, nobody resorts to stealing the ball out of somebody else's hands.

Huh? Who's that? The Red Sox were the last baseball team to integrate, but the Redskins were the last  sportsteam as far as I know. And the Celtics were the first basketball team to integrate, I think. And, though I'm not old enough to have been around for the busing riots, I really don't know what you're talking about in terms of encouraging racism and bigotry. I don't think Boston is any more or less racist than any other major city I've ever visited.

Which is complete crap.  What if he had ripped the ball away from a little kid?  If someone catches a ball, they should feel free to keep it, especially in the playoffs.  Your team isn't going to win or lose based on whether or not the ball was thrown back.
