Look, asshat, I think you've been warned about this before. There are no "members" of the marine core, only soldiers. And nobody "was" in the core. Once you're in the Core, you're always in the Core. You're a Marine Core soldier for life, until you die, and then you go to a special place in Heaven that's reserved for all the people Hell's too scared to take.

Whether you believe it's racist or not to fly/wave the Confederate flag, I think we can all agree that it's ignorant as fark.  It has no place in civil discourse whatsoever, and immediately brandishing it as part of your argument absolutely nullifies that argument.

It was based on the idea that the Federal Government was way too strong because they were letting new territories decide on slavery for themselves. So they had to weaken the Federal Government by federally mandating slavery.

This argument is correct in so much as it is a valid suggestion that the person who considers the motivations of another to be impure based on their own reaction is suggesting, then, that their motivations follow their interpretation.

Which is to say that observation of an icon or image evinces a subliminal synaptic firing which can be observed to express ones values or expectations of others.

A perfect example of this phenomenon is one that takes place quite often in every day life. You walk into a kitchen and/or by some other means, television, movies, observe the preparation of food by another person, say, some sauteed chicken. Your reaction to the preparation of food is to assume that that person is hungry and preparing food for themselves and/or others. You may even consider for a moment your own physical satiation levels which suggests that you're relating your assumption about the other person to yourself and vice-versa.

Now, replace the chicken in our example with dog shiat.

You watch the person walk their dog. You watch the person pick up the dog's shiat. So far you're completely in sync, nothing has reached out of the expected. The person walks into their house holding the bag of shiat. They walk into the kitchen, past the garbage can, and rest the baggie on the counter. You're starting to get uncomfortable with what's happening because you start to have expectations as to what could come next. But of the available possibilities you have a very hard time imagining the end result. The person bends to get a pan from their cupboard, and starts to heat it on the stove. Then, carefully, they open the bag of dog shiat, and empty it into the heated pan. Even here, even though you are 99% sure that you know the outcome, you refuse to believe it. This person is going out of their way to make it seem as though they intend to eat dog shiat. But, you will refuse to believe that that's their intent, until you witness it. Even then you may believe it to be a trick. They wouldn't actually eat dog shiat, it must have been sleight of hand and tricks!

Now, replace the scenario with someone looking at naked kids. If the first thing you conclude is 'PERVERT'! Or if you see someone waving a confederate flag and immediately and without question conclue 'RACIST', then you must have some fear or deep-seated guilt from personal experience with those kinds of thoughts. Because unless you've actually, personally, eaten dog shiat. You'd never watch someone picking up after their dog and assume, 'They must be hungry'.
