This one made for an epic Fark thread a few years back. Maybe this thread will be just as good, but it will be hard to beat.

The one on the left is obviously photoshopped, but I'm not sure about the one on the right.  It looks like in addition to ridiculously tall heels, her shoes actually have a platform on top that basically makes them into stilts.  The look to be a good 16" to 18" tall.

You are right that the shoes have toe platforms, and they are making her a lot taller than most heels would. But if you look at the pattern in the lace mesh on her back and running down the sides, you can see it is vertically stretched over her legs which shoes they 'shopped her too.

yeah, you're likely right... I am having trouble imagining someone doing this and thinking, "Yeah, sure, that looks natural."

We're all going to feel really bad when we find out this struggling model has Marfan Syndrome and this one agency was the only one willing to take a chance on her.

People in the fashion biz are still taught to make sketches that grossly exaggerate leg length.  That photoshop just replicates the proportions in the sketches.

I'm at a loss as to why we even have/need a fashion biz.

I DNRTFA but without knowing the intention, I can't call it a fail. Could be for artistic or other reasons, that's the way they wanted it to look.

Clooney: Did you see that crazy photoshop of the model with the long legs?

Kiebler: I know. Right? That's crazy.
