Dear Fark Republicans. Do you exist? Also, would you admit it if you did? How can you continue to stand with these assholes? How can anyone continue to support these assholes without being in the same echo chamber as these people? These people are trying to make sure their paranoia comes true. Don't believe the government is good at doing anything? Send to Congress people who can make sure it doesn't work, then you can be "right". Then blame the scary Democrats for trying to help poor people afford healthcare. Hell, if Jesus existed as you farkers believed, I don't know how he would ever support such a mean spirited bunch of wackos that seems to be what Republicans stand for now.

I know some farkers would be happy about that, but I do not look gleefully at the destruction of the Republican party. We need an opposition party that isn't crazy, we need someone to hold government accountable for all the things it shouldn't be doing. Spying on its citizens, killing brown people indiscriminately, etc. There are a lot of places where I certainly don't agree with the Democrats/Obama, but at least they aren't actively trying to destroy the United States to save it or whatever the hell they're trying to do.

Please note, my tantrum pic is of a crying toddler.

Babies have understandable reasons to cry. They have no language skills, poor eyesight, painful colic, inability to control poo and pee, poor co-ordination, inability to control body temperature, and generally are rather helpless little things. I feel it's inappropriate to compare Rethuglicoonts with little babies.

Toddlers, however, are selfish and vicious little shiatstains who cry only cos they don't get their own way, and should be beaten mercilessly with a damn belt til they shut the fark up - or at least crawl under a piece of furniture and stay out of your face for the rest of the night.

Obama will put his Quran down when Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch, a conservative political advocacy group, puts down his crack pipe.

They are entirely within their rights to use nonviolent civil disobedience to advance their agenda. It will work as well for them as it did for the OWS crowd two years ago. If they want to actually achieve their goals, they will have to use violentcivil disobedience. Of course at that point the government is well within its rights to arrest them, charge them with treason and throw them in jail. I'm not advocating the latter course, but frankly if they don't carry through on their rhetoric they're nothing but a bunch of pussies, amirite? If things are as bad as they say they are, it's their duty to engage in armed rebellion against the United States. If they have any balls, they'll do it. The fact that they won't do it indicates that a) their complaints are, to put it mildly, overblown, and they know it, and/or b) they have no balls.

You don't have a right to any kind of civil disobedience. You have the ability to break the law and be thrown in jail for a cause.

You poor babies. Forget about the fact that children are going without food that hasn't been properly inspected and cancer trials are cancelled, THE PARKS ARE CLOSED!

Remember, the right-wing doesn't care about that.

Their healthcare plan is "don't get sick", people with cancer had to go off and get sick even though they weren't supposed to.

They are bootstrappy and don't need some big-government inspector telling them food isn't safe, they don't need food inspectors, after all the food they buy has always been safe so there's clearly no need to inspect it!

I don't stand with them and I am starting to believe it is time to dissolve the party.

The best way out at this point is for the moderates to declare themselves independents and caucus with the Democrats in the short term. In the long term a new party needs to be formed. I am not arguing for a third party. I am arguing the moderate republicans and the center-right democrats form a new party. After that point, both parties will agree not to give political support and shelter to those who are racist and dont recognize the establishment clause. The party has been over run with racists and domionists.

Of course they ignore the economists.

That's a symptom of a larger problem, the modern conservative thinks that their beliefs create reality, they don't have to believe in anything they don't want to.

Don't like Global Warming because it might imply you need to change your business policies?  Just ignore the climatologists and call it "junk science".

Don't like Evolution because it conflicts with your literal interpretation of the Bible?  Just demand schools teach creationism, try to dress it up as "intelligent design", and create controversy to make it look like evolution is discredited.

Don't like that statistics and polls say your candidate is losing?  Unskew them and just make up numbers that sound better.

Don't like that economists say that a sovereign debt default could trigger a worldwide recession or a second great depression?  Just ignore it and say it'll be good for the economy or nobody will notice, because bootstraps.

It's the same sickness, the same disease, this time the plague carrier has their hands on what amounts to the main engine of the country, and they're thinking they can rip out the fuel lines and it'll still work.

I just put a submission in with this attached

I've been working on that.  And you are right.  if a thousand Farkers read it, no big deal.  But what if a thousand farkers all spammed the hell out of the press with this?

--------------------

If I can ask you to take a little time, there is a little experiment I am asking Farkers to engage in.
We keep hearing the "both sides are bad" line which we know is historically a load of crap.
I understand the need for the press to try and remain neutral.  However, when news organizations intentionally cherry pick what stories to run  to pre

So, if they are going to actively engage in a news strategy that enables a Government shutdown to go on longer than it needs to, all at the same time, risking a default, then lets both play that game.

The goal...

Shut down the news until they shutdown the shutdown.

Trust me, that sounds a lot more ridiculous when you say it out loud.  If you try and make a song out of it, then you are more disturbed than I am.

However, there are things we can do.  So with this in mind, I have made a little factsheet below.

And, here is what I am asking..

Copy this factsheet into your handy little clipboard.

Then scroll over to Facebook.  No, I do not want you to post this on your wall.  You can, but that is
not the point.  The point is to get this out there, in front of people.

Then go to all of these news outlets Facebook pages, and paste it on their wall.

If they do not  allow posting to their wall, then scroll down to the first story about the shutdown, and post it in a comment there.

Some notes about the factsheet
Sadly, most of it was gathered from Fark.
I tried to leave commentary out of it.   Nothing critical, no name calling.
I did try and use original sources* as much as possible.   If you have an original source, for one of the stories, feel free to share.

Links to a few Facebook news pages.
However, it is quicker if you just type them name into the Facebook Search.
Also your local news would be a good call.

https://www.facebook.com/abcnews

https://www.facebook.com/CBS

https://www.facebook.com/NBCNews

https://www.facebook.com/cnn

https://www.facebook.com/PiersMorganLive

https://www.facebook.com/60minutes

https://www.facebook.com/AC360

https://www.facebook.com/latimes

https://www.facebook.com/washingtonpost

Also, use this link to find your congressmen, and post it on their wall.  Find the congressmen for your state, and post it on their wall
http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/

For added Bonus, go a head, post on your wall, and ask others to do the same.

Seriously.  This might sound silly.  It might sound like a waste of time.  But when news organizations start their day Monday morning, and 1,000 people (or more) have flooded them.  It will be a real WTF moment, and they might decide that if they aren't going to tell the full story for integrity sake, then maybe they will do it for the ratings.

And if you think you don't have time, it takes about 10-15 minutes. Which is about how much time it  takes to Google that cute meme you were going to post in reply to this.

If they do not  allow posting to their wall, then scroll down to the first story about the shutdown, and po ...

Kept going til they yanked my public posting privileges. Anybody else going to man up?

armoredbulldozer: b2theory: FTFA: "Angered by the closure of national landmarks due to the partial government shutdown"

I would love it for once if a news agency would be brutally honest and state tge obvious.

"Angered because the President is black..... the protesters...."

They're not racists, they hate Biden, Reid, Pelosi, Boxer, and the rest of the Democrat farking retards too.  Obama achieved Imbecile Gold status with the passing of Obamacare.

Why do you hate the Heritage Foundation?

This is just people concerned about taxes, who demonstrate their dislike of taxes with blatant  racism.

Is he a pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, anti-religion in government liberal, or is he a secret Muslim out to impose Sharia on us all (which is anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage, and the definition of having religion in government)?

blastoh: I am actually growing a little tired of these stories about some guy at a rally saying something stupid.  Seriously, This is news?

Some guy gets up at a rally, and says a bunch of stupid crap and CNN runs with it like it is a big deal....

Meanwhile
Republicans created a healthcare plan
http://www.forbes.com/sites/theapothecary/2012/02/07/the-tortuous-co ns ervative-history-of-the-individual-mandate/

They pushed for this plan over the course of 2 decades, and they even supported this plan as late as 2008

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Healthy_Americans_Act

 Then
When The democrats agreed to adopt this plan, the GOP suddenly (and at that point only) decided the plan was unconstitutional and posed a grave threat to the nation.

They sued in the supreme court but lost
http://www.scribd.com/doc/98544934/Supreme-Court-upholds-Affordable- Care-Act

They ran presidential candidate who opposed the Affordable Care Act even though he had passed a nearly identical law in the State of Massachusetts

Obama was re-elected with the Affordable Care Act being a center piece of the election
http://www.politico.com/2012-election/map/

Deciding that the Affordable Care Act was a serious threat to the nation, the GOP engineered a strategy of threatening a Government Shutdown to protest the Affordable Care Act.

To pull this off
The Republicans strategized how to engineer the shutdown, and how to handle the spin

Jim_Tressel's_O-Face: phenn: Now, now. A buddy has been posting photos from the protest and there are plenty of black vets in attendance. The whole racist thing just doesn't apply to everyone.

They must have been the 54th Massachusetts come to get Johnny Reb.

He's talking about that new type of invisible black folks - they don't photograph well. But there's lot's of 'em in those pictures - take my word for it.
