Last year, I suffered a papercut on my left index finger one day at work while trying to fix a jam in the copier. Not only did I bandage the severe wound by myself right at my desk, but I struggled and fought through the pain and managed to come into work the next day. I even brewed a fresh pot of coffee at one point that next morning, and fumbling with coffee filters while impaired with such a serious ailment is dangerous work.

Clearly, I'm a Man™ and have every right to say I'm way tougher than Derrick Rose and that he's a total pussy.

Derrick Rose stole an MVP from LeBron and was at the height of his popularity while LeBron was the biggest villain in the league.  He spent all that reputation capital to be a pussy with a loudmouth brother.

Not a fan, but yes he can. Definitely one handed if not one step two hand as well.

It really isn't my place to talk.  I'm not a ripped up thug ball player making millions.  Just a white guy in construction.  The problem here is, the last 2-3 major ACL tears in the sports world have been remarkable comebacks, almost to the point of them becoming the norm.  But even the worst ACLs only took 12 months.  We're now on the losing side of coming up on 2 years (in April) and Rose seems be to broken mentally.  He'll never have a perfect knee again...he's going to have soreness.  And yes, it *is* just the preseason.

I guess what i'm saying is...he's a bit of a pussy.

Whole lotta haters in this thread.

Did people actually expect him to play in every preseason game?

I am confused. Derrick Rose doesn`t play in the NFL.

Am I the only person who has the crazy feeling that the reason it's taking Rose so long to come back from his ACL tear is that he's the only person who tore an ACL in the last several years who didn't use elaborate cocktails of PEDs to come back faster from the injury?

I love people who equate what they do to a pro athlete when it comes to injuries. Look man if your company had millions of guaranteed dollars that he would owe you if you never were able to work for them again, then they would be cautious also with you when it comes to an injury that could end your career.

That's why I don't understand why the Bulls just didn't come out and say he'd be done for the season at some point last year. It still bugs me that the doctors cleared him to play in early March, only for him and the team to toy with everyone about when/if he would be coming back. I'm all for getting the knee 100%, but that situation could've been handled a lot better. And it definitely didn't do Rose any favors because now many fans thinks he's a pussy - whether that's fair or not.

That's a funny headline.

Dude used to be amazingly fast and quick. I recall ESPN doing a science bit on the torque he put on his ankles, saying mere mortals would have their ankles broken by his activities. He's clearly lost the step with this injury, and will never be the same.

So, yeah, the headline's humorously accurate.

The Bulls Management have a history of shiatting on their own players.

Idiots think he is a pussy, not fans.
