Should I drop DeAndre Hopkins for Jerome SImpson?  Somebody talk me out of it

2013-10-13 12:08:39 PM

swankywanky: so, starting Peterson today - no idea if he's going to take this whole situation and go apeshiate today or be a confused mental mess and have it affect the game,  thoughts?

I'm concerned for the Car D.  I think AD is gonna tear them 7 or 8 new assholes.

2013-10-13 12:13:38 PM
The Justin Blackmon or Josh Gordon decision is also giving me fits. Le sigh.

2013-10-13 12:16:17 PM

JoshTheTech: Mike Vick missing games due to injury- once again everyone on the planet is a wizard.

Him and Steven Jackson, two biggest dog ass pussies in the league.

funny...

VTGremlin: The Justin Blackmon or Josh Gordon decision is also giving me fits. Le sigh.

Gordon. But I hate Blackmon, so I'm super biased.

CalvinMorallis: Got the following WRs in a PPR and need 3:

Alshon Jeffery
Andre Johnson
Dez Bryant
Josh Gordon
Justin Blackmon

Already rolled with Alshon, because of course I did.  Dez is a no-brainer.  Who do I go with on number 3?  If Jeffrey'd had a better game, I would have rolled with Blackmon for the upside.  But now I feel like I should go with Andre (assuming he plays) just for the safer play.  Thoughts?

Johnson is the safest play, but both Gordon and Blackmon have a lot of upside

RL_Fixation: Ridley vs the Saints or Lacy vs the Ravens?

Lacy, he'll get the volume, just hope he finds the endzone.

swankywanky: so, starting Peterson today - no idea if he's going to take this whole situation and go apeshiate today or be a confused mental mess and have it affect the game,  thoughts?

Peterson is going, I wouldn't want to be the guys tackling him today

Kome: Flex spot, normal scoring: Bilal Powell (vs PIT), Austin Pettis (vs HOU), or Andre Ellington (vs SF). Thinking Powell.

Powell is safest

kronicfeld: McFadden and Jennings will play. McFadden over either TY Hilton or Stevie Johnson in my flex slots?

Stick Hilton even though he's boom or bust

wholedamnshow: Ridley vs NO or Denarius Moore vs KC? PPR. 10 yards per point rushing. 20 yards per point receiving.

Moore but not a great matchup

cameroncrazy1984: Looks like Stevie is out. Do I start Robert Woods instead?

Yes

mephisto6: I've got a flex question in a couple leagues...

Flex PPR:  Denarius Moore @ KC or Darren Sproles @ NE

Flex Standard: Sproles, Moore, or Bilal Powell v Pitt?

PPR Sproles
Std Powell

CipollinaFan: For my flex spot:

Donnie Avery (who is the real No. 1 wide receiver in Kansas City) vs Oakland.
Lenard Hankerson, who has looked great this season and is playing the nonexistent Cowboys D.
Brandon Pettegrew vs Cleveland.
Chris Ivory vs Pittsburgh. (I should just drop him)
Jermaine Kearse (The Aldrick Robinson of the Seahawks) vs the Titans
Joique Bell vs Cleveland

Obviously I am leaning in the direction of Hankerson and Avery but I thought I might as well list all my options.

Avery

alcoda: Don't laugh, injuries are killing me.

Weedon or Schaub.

Henne, or if you must Weedon

Savoir-Faire: alcoda: Don't laugh, injuries are killing me.

Weedon or Schaub.

Schab or Kapernick, in my situation. Difficulty: I have Foster and Gore starting.

Kapernick, if he does what he did week 1 you want him in.

Bubblegum Tate: Should I drop DeAndre Hopkins for Jerome SImpson?  Somebody talk me out of it

Sure, it's easier to get him now in case he goes off.

VTGremlin: The Justin Blackmon or Josh Gordon decision is also giving me fits. Le sigh.

Blackmon due to GTP.  Just hope the Jags don't stick Stazi out there late.  I like Gordon too and he could easily start every week.

2013-10-13 12:32:11 PM

SilentStrider: No, I'd play Hilton. Johnson's questionable, last I knew, and is going against Cincy's D anyway.

FYI all, Stevie Johnson is now OUT.

2013-10-13 12:32:47 PM
Cam Newton @ Min or Alex Smith vs. Oak? Strongly leaning Alex.

Just like last year.  My sole remaining undefeated squad is the Clownshoes.....

I've already decided the team winning my league this year isn't going to be the team that wins the playoff bracket - no, it's the guy who was ballsy enough to draft the entire Browns roster:

[i.imgur.com image 47that that

that is pure awesome.  He may not win the league, but he has already won.   Sucks on the bye week though

He's got that covered - his bench is all Dolphins players.

New to this whole fantasy thing (this is my first year) so a little help would be appreciated... PPR League:

Marshawn Lynch or Frank Gore for my starting RB slot? I've also got Trent Richardson on the bench, if that affects any decision. I'm definitely starting Knowshon Moreno in the 2nd slot.

Any advice would be awesome.

DeSean Jackson, Calvin Johnson, TY Hilton. Which 2?

2013-10-13 12:52:37 PM
Marshawn Lynch, Ray Rice, Knowshon Moreno... pick two.

I'd go Lynch/Gore and Lynch/Rice. The Broncos may be up enough that they let Ball and Hillman stay in to get better at not being awful. Or Moreno will run for 100 yards and two scores. Who the eff knows. =\

Lynch, Rice

Lynch and Gore over Moreno? I figured Moreno vs the Jags would be a lock for points...

It would appear that Arrowhead is in rare form today.

Sometimes the best place when you're a confused mental mess is on the field where you can concentrate on your game and let everything else go.

/it does for me

Quick Quick Quick I have R. Wilson. Colin K. and Phillip Rivers sitting there.  I still have time to change my roster at QB   Advise.....

All facing good defenses but all are at home too.  Never take Rivers or the Chargers in a night game on prime time tv, there goes one.  Kaepernick has been shaky lately and is a little dinged up.  I'd say Wilson.

Well, he is the one that was in my lineup   - Making a note.   - next week when I lose I will call you.  thanks.   kidding.  Thanks   good logic.

I went Lynch and Moreno.  Seems to have been the right call, at least I hope so.

I lost Cobb in one league, Graham and Shorts in the other.  I'm not having a good day.  Wat do?

You were right

I had one team with Shorts, Amendola, and Graham.  Needless to say I shouldn't have a chance barring something exceptionally weird.  (Romo, Vinateri vs Bryant, Murry, Morris, Witten and the Dallas D)

2013-10-13 08:54:05 PM
I actually started Foles in a league, since Matt Ryan is on bye.

I was not upset by the outcome.
