Last week we learned that Matt Stafford has a lot in common with Dante Culpepper.  What will this week bring?

Pick 2
Moreno vs Jax
Gore vs Az
Morris vs Dallas

Leaning towards the first two.

Stafford projected for 27 vs Cleveland and Brady for 13 against NO. Still think I may use Brady anyway.

I'd go with Moreno and Gore.  Dallas is actually not too bad against the rush.  Gore should do well against the Cards and, hopefully, Moreno has a farking field day against Jacksonville (I have him, too).  My only worry with Moreno is that Denver will take a huge early lead and rest the starters.

That's possible. But I figure Moreno is their best back. If they're building a huge lead, he'll probably have a big hand in that.

While the Arizona D isn't bad either I think Moreno and Gore are the safest way to go.

Precious Roy's Horse Dividers: Stafford projected for 27 vs Cleveland and Brady for 13 against NO. Still think I may use Brady anyway.

Depends if Calvin goes.  However, I'd say that you really don't have a bad 2nd option in Brady.

Seems to me, Cleveland has played the pass well so far this year.  Which means they are ripe for a disaster.

Okay, some roster decisions for me:

RB Fred Jackson vs Spiller
QB Romo vs Newton
RB G. Bernard vs McFadden or Stacy
WR K. Allen vs D.Moore, Thompkins, or G. Tate.

The first name is where I'm leaning.  Off to lunch

2013-10-13 11:08:04 AM
Got the following WRs in a PPR and need 3:

Alshon Jeffery
Andre Johnson
Dez Bryant
Josh Gordon
Justin Blackmon

Already rolled with Alshon, because of course I did.  Dez is a no-brainer.  Who do I go with on number 3?  If Jeffrey'd had a better game, I would have rolled with Blackmon for the upside.  But now I feel like I should go with Andre (assuming he plays) just for the safer play.  Thoughts?

Ridley vs the Saints or Lacy vs the Ravens?

who are you and why are you managing my team?

Have a similar situation...I have A.foster, F.Gore, K.Moreno and W.Mcgahee

I am starting foster and Moreno.  Moreno vs. Jax has a greater potential than gore, even if Moreno doesn't play the whole game.  Gore is going against Arizona, which has been stingy so far plus didn't gore slightly just himself last week?  And will the 49ers go with a heavy run game?

I would start Moreno, and I think it is just a coin flip betWeen gore and Morris.

1) Jackson--he's the goal line back, the 3rd down back, and the healthier of the 2
2) Romo--he's the real deal until proven otherwise
3) If you're comfortable otherwise and can afford to gamble on upside, I'd go with Stacy.  Otherwise, Bernard.
4) Can't help you there, other than saying never, ever ever trust a Seattle receiver.  Tate could get you 40 points, or 0

2013-10-13 11:14:22 AM
so, starting Peterson today - no idea if he's going to take this whole situation and go apeshiate today or be a confused mental mess and have it affect the game,  thoughts?

2013-10-13 11:14:29 AM
Flex spot, normal scoring: Bilal Powell (vs PIT), Austin Pettis (vs HOU), or Andre Ellington (vs SF). Thinking Powell.

I would go with Blackmon,  Jax should be playing from behind most. Of the game and will need to pass a lot.  I wish I had picked Blackmon over Cruz this week.

McFadden and Jennings will play. McFadden over either TY Hilton or Stevie Johnson in my flex slots?

swankywanky: so, starting Peterson today - no idea if he's going to take this whole situation and go apeshiate today or be a confused mental mess and have it affect the game,  thoughts?

I generally start players who are playing in spite of a massive family catastrophe. It's pathetic, I know, but most of them play their hearts out as a coping mechanism and I suspect - though I've never heard anything to support this - that the other NFL players tend to be more accommodating for them to help get through their situation.

Not sure about the WR spot, but the rest, I'd go with how you have it now.

kronicfeld: McFadden and Jennings will play. McFadden over either TY Hilton or Stevie Johnson in my flex slots?

No, I'd play Hilton. Johnson's questionable, last I knew, and is going against Cincy's D anyway.

I was concerned about that too. I can't believe he's playing. My opinion is that if he's gonna go out there and play, it's because he knows he can. I think All Day is gonna have a big one.

Anybody have any scoop on Andre Johnson?  I think he should be good to go but I can't seem to find anything except for 'game time decision' on him.

2013-10-13 11:25:14 AM
I've been back and forth and back and forth debating Kansas City or Cincinnati all week. I guess it isn't a major problem to have, and nothing anyone says will really sway me one way or the other, but good lord fantasy is frustrating sometimes.

I've not heard anything. If he's not active, I'll be forced to play Hankerson at Flex in a league. This is less than ideal.

That's a tough one.  I have to roll with Kenbrell Thompkins if he's out, which isn't all that bad but I'd really like to have Johnson in.

Ridley vs NO or Denarius Moore vs KC? PPR. 10 yards per point rushing. 20 yards per point receiving.

I've already decided the team winning my league this year isn't going to be the team that wins the playoff bracket - no, it's the guy who was ballsy enough to draft the entire Browns roster:

Yea, there's one guy at work who drafts nothing but Bears each year.  Each year, he finishes dead last.

2013-10-13 11:46:57 AM
I've got a flex question in a couple leagues...

Flex PPR:  Denarius Moore @ KC or Darren Sproles @ NE

Flex Standard: Sproles, Moore, or Bilal Powell v Pitt?

2013-10-13 11:47:59 AM
For my flex spot:

Donnie Avery (who is the real No. 1 wide receiver in Kansas City) vs Oakland.
Lenard Hankerson, who has looked great this season and is playing the nonexistent Cowboys D.
Brandon Pettegrew vs Cleveland.
Chris Ivory vs Pittsburgh. (I should just drop him)
Jermaine Kearse (The Aldrick Robinson of the Seahawks) vs the Titans
Joique Bell vs Cleveland

Obviously I am leaning in the direction of Hankerson and Avery but I thought I might as well list all my options.

that tends to be the case, remember fare after the loss of his father(I think it was his father ). I meant Farve , goddamn ipad is impossible to type well with.  Also last year Torrey smith had a huge game after his brother died.   I would look for AP's teammates to play inspired, not so much the other team lets up on players with tradegy, instead their team steps up their game.
