Values like hoarding money, leaving the sick to die in the street and capriciously judging others. You know, the kind of things that Jesus was really big on.

These people NEED their own stupid nation, founded on idiocracy and religion and that gets ZERO federal money for any purpose, including buying food.

I hope Ted Cruz runs for president. I can't wait to call tea partiers out on this one. "Gee, are you sure he can even run? he was born in Canada..His mom? well yeah, but wouldn't that mean Obama.... so what's with that throbbing vein on your forhead?"  Should be interesting when the cognitive dissidence starts kicking in.

Obama was an US senator and is a citizen as he was born on US soil. Didn't stop the birthers from asking for his birth certificate. Cruz was born on Canadian soil, so it should interesting to see how the "natural-born citizen" thing would play out.

My understanding is that there hasn't been a ruling on what "natural-born citizen" really means. So were the founding fathers prescient too?

Oh, believe me... I always used the "his mother was a citizen" argument as my trump card during the birther craze.  You would be truly shocked at how the word salad flies after they realize that - even if they were right about him being born in Kenya - he's a US citizen and it doesn't matter one bit what kind of crazy conspiracy theories they spin.

When Cruz runs (and I'm sure he will) I'm sure there will be a lot of people saying "I was never into the birther thing with Obama!"  Be ready to scroll down their facebook news feeds and dig that shiat up.

The problem is that it has to play into their extreme confirmation bias for it to work.  If you were to start a rumor that Obama had the Resolute desk pointed towards Mecca when he was inaugurated, that would work like a champ.  Anything negative about Cruz would certainly fail.
