I am shocked that a coach who has tried to make his mark on the NFL by being a jerk would do something like this.

Just shocked I tell you.

/Just as shocked as I was when my toddler ate that chocolate bar that was sitting on the table

Good. Do it. Maybe it will hasten the departure of this over-matched under-skilled hack.

We have have some gong shows in Tampa Bay in the past...But I have never seen such chaos and stupidity as we have suffered this year.

Greg always reminded me of a glorified PE teacher. No tact, no empathy, and an all-about bully. Why another coach hasn't clocked him yet is a mystery I don't think we'll ever solve.

Because, unlike Shianco, (most) other NFL coaches showcase professional character.

They'd rather eat $6M than get rid of this cancer?

And I thought the Lions had bad ownership...

Peter von Nostrand: The Bucs.... making Jerry Jones look competent

I think Jerry Jones, for all his incompetence, cares about his team's success. I do not have that feeling about Malcolm Glazer.

Absolutely. Jerry wants to win and I think he's still out to prove that he was the brains behind the early 90's and not Jimmy

I'm inclined to agree.  And even if they don't lose, it's a matter of time.  The "dead man walking" phase in Schiano's Tampa Bay tenure has begun.

This seems like the kind of thing Lane Kiffin would have done.

Exactly. I think we're about to hear that he, personally, infected his players with MRSA in an attempt to "get them tough".

You joke, but I wouldn't be surprised if he had done some things to 'get team focused' that affected sanitation in the facility and locker room.

Yes. His goal wasn't to help the team, it was to destroy Freeman's career.

Could be it got personal, and Schiano just wanted to screw Freeman over.

When they fire Shiano, I hope they also fire the rest of the frat boy Rutgers incompetents he dragged along with him.  The entire staff is riddled with "coaches" that are barely able to manage a Pop Warner team.

Buddy Ryan was indeed a whackjob. However, he traded away Cris Carter to the Vikings for not all that much, because Carter was a hardcore drunk at the time, and never mentioned the alcoholism to the media that I remember. To me that looks head and shoulders above how Schiano has conducted himself.

Well yeah but at least Glazer doesn't pretend to know anything about putting together a Foosball team, that makes jerry more incompetent.

Yes and he also wanted to fark the GM but if they can prove this then he is farked and will be lucky to get a coaching job above high school.

Not just alcohol, Carter was also on coke too. And Carter has said that what Ryan did is a large part if what inspired him to get clean.

Well, bear in mind Glazer does own this other football team in England. Manchester United. You might have heard of him.

But yeah, it's damage control time. Kick out the jams.

schiano just strikes me as a douche. just listening to him makes me think his favorite pastime is torturing puppies...

coughlin is a hard ass. other couches can be hardasses...shiano goes past that and takes it to 'i'm a dick' level.

The sad thing is he will probably end up in New England. For some reason Belichick seems to like him.

Well I don't know what he's doing over there but he seems more of a "buy teams to print cash, let others make decisions" type owner to me.

Then again I know nothing about him, Jerry though always wants to be front and center on every decision.
