Probably not very well, as he doesn't have a supple wrist

While it's cool that he's good at something despite his disability, I still don't understand how being good at a FPS is any sort of life accomplishment. Some guys take it so damned seriously. Their frag count seems to be some sort of badge of honor, and I really don't get it. In the end, you're talking about being good at playing cops & robbers on a computer.

/Beating Battletoads is an accomplishment, though, simply because it shows ridiculous dedication to the impossible.

A Fleshlight and an intricate system of pulleys.

I beat battletoads, it's not nearly as difficult as people make it out to be.

It's a hell of a lot easier than beating this guy without the elec beam glitch.

Do you feel the same way about people who are good at baseball? Tsquared made around over a million dollar playing Halo so there is some money to be made if you are really good.

It's a competition thing. I'm a bigger and better alpha male than you because I'm better at war/sport/war-sport-simulation (after all, sports are simply emulations of war-time activity, which makes wargames an evolutionary advancement).

Plus most of them have rather pathetic lives where they only things they really have to take pride in are video games.

Plus plus, honestly, it sucks to 'spawn die wait 30 repeat' to someone. And it's a power trip when you can inflict such status on another human, especially when you're weak, powerless, anti-social, etc. in real life.

I've been wanting to get into CS again, anyone know which version is most recent / populated?

Is is any different, or just graphically enhanced and new maps?(ie how the CoD's evolve over time)

Being good at anything *is* an accomplishment.  That b.s. about everyone being good at something people sometimes spout is crap.  Most people aren't good at anything.

It doesn't matter if it is painting pictures, running, hitting a baseball, playing video games, solving equations, it is a life accomplishment.  Most people won't accomplish much of anything.

Fark_Guy_Rob: Most people aren't good at anything.

I'll back that up.

I wouldn't call a skill at games an accomplishment though.  No different than any sport, competitiveness is a gift handed to us by evolution, and games are simply an outlet for that.  Chess to football.  Sure, skill can be honed, but typically it's either there or it's not.  Refining what you've been "given" is not accomplishment.

Building/creating from the ground up is accomplishment.

*if accomplishment is followed by default with "worthy of recognition", which it typically is in general usage.

I still cannot comprehend how it remains one of the most played games on Steam. Every few years I'll start playing again just because, but I'll end up leaving because of cheaters, lag, general sucking, and how most of the time winning a shootout depends on luck no matter how tight your shot bursts are.

/also hate how you have to wait till the end of the round to play again
//COD may be burned out, but it is several times more playable than CS

Titanfall will change up the FPS scene this spring. It will be interesting to see how CoD and BF react.
