Their employees are going to have greater job mobility thanks to Obamacare, so you can see why they hate it.  But they didn't plan on having their little monster crash the country's credit worthiness.

This is really the heart of it. Doctor Frankenstein can no longer control his creation, and after pouring nothing but "Obamacare is the worst law in the history of mankind and will result in all your churches being turned into Abercrombie and Fitch outlets" this is what they get. The lunatics have taken over the asylum.

Hell Barry Goldwater and Richard Nixon would be considered RINOs by today's party.

Nixon?  The man that gave us the EPA, OSHA, and relations with China?

He'd be considered a communist traitor.

Anti-American-Freedom-Haters actually isn't a bad description of the Koch bros.  They've shown that they're completely willing to sell out this country and the majority of the population if it means more money for them.

And I like using the phrase "Koch Suckers" for the people who take their money and espouse their ideas.

It's interesting to watch the Tea Party people claim to be Republican. They are the real RINOs.

They really should be a separate party.

Update, per POLITICO: Senate Dems just told Senate Republicans to take a hike. Presumably because "You get nothing. You lose." means exactly what Reid says it does.

2013-10-12 12:34:20 PM
And the Senate just failed to invoke cloture on raising the debt limit. It sucks when a vote of 53-47 is a failed vote.

I wonder if Reid uses the nuclear option if we get closer to defaulting.

Tannhauser: Tea Party's farked.

Nah, it's self sustaining now.  The retard masses that love these jackholes will dig deep and fund and put boots on the ground for all Tea Party folks.  The best part will be a year from now when Koch-funded challengers to these assholes are labeled as RINOs by the same cretins they used to rely on for votes.

Fantasta Potamus: They really should be a separate party.

Why?  Up to this point they've gotten everything they've ever wanted.  They can run the GOP from within and get what they want most of the time since they have a Speaker terrified of opposing them, or form their own party and maybe have 30 votes in the House and maybe 3-4 in the Senate.  It's the same reason the Republicans will never cast them out.  Without them they'll never, ever, have a majority in Congress again.

Yep, that suggestion traded a debt limit increase through January (!) in return for a delay of the medical device tax for TWO years. It was an awful idea.

"Congress should focus on these efforts: blanching the budget, tightening and cutting government spending, curbing cronyism,  and eliminating market-distorting subsidies and mandates."

hahahahaha.  I needed that.  Thanks.

the Koch Bros never backed the Tea Party, in fact the Tea Party has always been a liberal creation to make the GOP look bad in a desperate attempt to destroy the greatest party of True American Patriots in our nation's history and the Lib-o-rats should be ashamed of themselves for this libdown

I've heard this exact thought stated by someone in a serious debate. Sometimes, people just have their own version of reality to keep themselves happy. Sometimes, it's all they have left. It really does make me sad.

I have to believe Boehner sighs an exhausted sigh when he's asked to take these shiatty ideas to Reid.  Wasn't the last one "End the Treasuries ability to do anything about the debt limit EVER, and we'll extend for 6 weeks?".  It's like every shiat-for-brains teabagger is being given their shot for a "super sweet deal for us that is totally sweet and will really stick it to the libs and they'll never see it coming".

I mean, these proposals are LAUGHABLY* bad, and obviously and uselessly self-serving, especially considering the current situation.  At this point, the GOP is under siege, being starved of political capital, and the Tea Party faction is too daft to know it.

*as in, would be funny if it wasn't my farking country being run into the ground by shiat-eating morons

Of course not. They have been pumping 100s of M$$ into the porn industry in an effort to create a new brand:
"The Adventures of Big Cock and Little Cock". So far fairly unsuccessful.

Yup.  There was a lot of ideologue billionaire money flowing into the Teabagger movement, for sure, but make no mistake: these are real people who really believe everything they've been told and who won't let something as petty as a lack of funds stop them as they continue their crusade to save the country.  They're never going to get what they want, but they have a lot of life left in them yet.

And what would their party mascot/logo be?

You're discounting the money side of the GOP.  Money never sleeps.

That was a very informative article on how Los authors are lunatics.

The argument is the Koch brothers are turning on the Tea Party because they are changing their position. It proves they changed their position because a decade ago they gave money to a group that eventually became Freedomworks.

It's a real life example of Insane Troll Logic.

rein-in.

Oh, FFS. It's just "rein in", k?

That letter basically reads like "Sure we've scare-mongered about Obamacare for a long time under the guise of "educating" people but the Koch Boys have never come right out and said that they support this whole "shut down the government over Obamacare" idea or the lunacy that would be tying the debt ceiling bill to a political wish list and you can't prove they did no matter what Harry Reid said on the floor.

Also the sequester sure is a great idea, let's do that some more!

The idea was always to fark everything up through historic obstructionism and knee jerk disagreement and then use the massive RW noise machine to try to blame the resulting fallout on the blah guy but now that some of the slimy money men who financed the astroturfing of American politics leading to the rise of the Teatards are getting a share of the blame they are trying to disassociate themselves while still making the same derpy noises through their various organs and apparatchiks.

Madness.

No joy in Freeperville?

Honestly, wouldn't they just say "We already knew that we weren't being bankrolled by those fatcats" and just move on?

Granted, I did just fall off the turnip truck, but it seems that would satisfy their daily allowance of cognitive dissonance.

From Free Republic AKA Derpville;

"To:  cotton1706
Letter just sent to Boehner:
"Once again you have failed as speaker - at the moment of victory you have surrendered. Our family has voted Republican for over a 100 years. But no more - never again will our family cast a single vote for your traitorous party. May the ashes of the Republican Party be flushed down the toilet where they belong."
Absolutely THE WORST time for the GOP to back down or to compromise. They needed to press ahead at a steady pace as obama's support among his own people was cracking. What fools these rinos be - they have sentenced the once great nation of America to certain collapse.
I will focus all my energies on a third party.

Fantasta Potamus: It's interesting to watch the Tea Party people claim to be Republican. They are the real RINOs.

I call myself a Republican 'cause I am one. I believe in market solutions, and I believe in common sense realities and the necessity to defend ourselves against a dangerous world and that's about it. Problem is now I have to be homophobic. I have to count the number of times people go to church. I have to deny facts and think scientific research is a long con. I have to think poor people are getting a sweet ride. And I have to have such a stunning inferiority complex that I fear education and intellect in the 21st century. But most of all, the biggest new requirement, really the only requirement, is that I have to hate Democrats. And I have to hate Chris Christie for not spitting on the President when he got off Air Force One. The two-party system is crucial to the whole operation. There is honor in being the loyal opposition. And I'm a Republican for the same reasons you are. So I hope your voice gets louder in the next four years.

- Will McAvoy
