Alphax: HooskerDoo: I'll bet it's powered by dirty, malnourished orphans turning one of those wheel thingies like in Conan The Barbarian.

So, they'll grow up to be big and strong, and cut off Mitt Romney's head someday?

We must cling to our hopes.

Sigh. If only we had elected this real American instead of that elitist only cares for rich people non-magical underwear wearer.

I wonder if it has a special laundry room for the magic undies? Shouldn't he be building these fancy
houses in Utah? Isn't that the chosen land for his people? Wouldn't he be more comfortable in the
land of religious phonies and arrogant douches that is Utah, rather than just the regular douches
of So. Cal. ?

Car elevators are so 2012. Car escalators are the new thing.

iron_city_ap: Think of all the jobs he is creating. Architects, Contractors, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, grounds keepers, maids, interior decorators, maids. I'd even wager that 2 of the entire lot are legal to work in the states. What a true patriot.

Yes. Job creator! Don't forget the elevator door man that greets him in his garage.

Don't you all realize that when Mitt Romney gets a car elevator, it means car elevators will soon trickle down to all of us? I just hope he gets a yacht escalator next.

/would probably settle for a binder of women, however

AnonAmbientLight: This guy wanted to be your president. Let that sink in for a moment.

That's not all. 46% of the electorate voted for a) follower of a dangerous weird scamster cult, b) a guy who "likes to fire people" and c) another corporate/political dynasty offspring (as if Dubya wasn't enough for them).

Do we still believe in the electoral process? Did democracy ever exist?

/ and don't get me started on "Bait'n'Switch" Obomba

Its sad that we always virtually only have two options every year, While Romney is not someone I would have voted for I was by no means an obama fan, I cant hardly blame the people that voted for the general hypocrisy of most of their religious beliefs towards mormons

I remember Romney distinctly using "California" as some kind of derogatory word for a mess of a State.  Yet he chooses to move there.

Let's all pretend Mipp Rodney is the only rich politician, because rich people are bad.

(Meanwhile all of you have, are, and will in the future vote multi-millionaire congresspeople and presidents into office who come from historically rich families.)

Alphakronik: I see why he is considered a "fiscal conservative".  I would have gone with the car escalator.

Good Lord, have you no pride? Elevator is bad enough, but escalator - one wonders when you shall take up bowling if you can sink to such depths. I myself prefer to have a team of mechanics flown in from Italy whenever I have the urge to see the Ferrari on one of the upper floors. They disassemble the car, then I fly in some Sherpas to transport the parts upstairs - very sure-footed people, the Sherpas - where my mechanics reassemble it and I am thus able to make that emergency dash to the lavatory in style and luxury. Now with the Rolls, you don't want Italians at all, you'd be better off with Englishmen, and though they tend to drink a bit they are easily provisioned, just a few turnips and a bit of beef. But Sherpas always.

I wonder how long he waited after he lost the election before he filed his amended tax return to claim back the charitable deductions he left on the table so he wouldn't have a single digit tax rate.

I remember Walter Mondale. I remember Michael Dukakis. Mitt Romney makes Walter Mondale and Michael Dukakis look like towering examples of statesmanship by comparison.

Honestly the worst candidate in my lifetime, and it's not even about the so-called policy. It was about moments like this:

But he would not divulge what specific deductions would be eliminated.
"That's something Congress and I will have to work out together," he said, adding later: "The devil's in the details. The angel is in the policy, which is creating more jobs."

WE. DON'T. CARE. IF. THEY'RE. RICH.

We care when they are rich and they do any of the following:

They forget that their fortune was the result of a public infrastructure and numerous workers and consumers.
They act as if they owe as little as possible to said public who support the ability to maintain that wealth.
They engage in activity designed to increase their wealth using dubious means that imperil the financial health of the public.
They seek to shape public policy to protect their wealth at the expense of the public.

Romney did all of these things.

This. Every time a troll says some shiat about "Thanks, Obama, how's all that hope and change working out for you?" they need to be reminded of the alternative their side offered us. Obama was the right choice, and even his loudest critics know it.

I still can't figure out why he didn't just buy a bigger house in the first place. He could've bought a place with a larger lot of land, in La Jolla, waterfront property even. Windansea though, is sort of the low rent district of La Jolla. It's a nice neighborhood, don't get me wrong. Low rent in La Jolla is luxury homes in most other places, but still, He could've just gone bigger right off the bat. Instead he buys a smaller house, in a neighborhood where homes are close together. Then decides to demolish the existing home, to build a massive edifice to his ego, irritating the fark out of his neighbors for months. Creating a huge mess, blocking traffic.

And that's not even counting how he's tried to count the beach in front of his house as his private property. Or how he plans to eliminate the beach access that adjoins his house.

fark this guy, and his retarded, inbred family.

I prefer classic cars, so an elevator would look out of place.

I'm installing a spiral staircase in my Jaguar instead.

Our long national nightmare of envious kvetchers making it their business what somebody else does with their own money continues.

jjorsett: Our long national nightmare of envious kvetchers making it their business what somebody else does with their own money continues.

The car elevator was a part of the 2012 election. It was a symbol of Romney being out of touch with the average American. Of course people are going to comment on it.

2013-10-12 02:01:02 PM
So he'd rather be pushing for his car elevator than pushing for Romney/Obama Care that his Republican cahorts want to defund.  Hey he could be spending his time reminding his Republican cronies how successful RomneyCare has been in Massachusetts  --  how in 2010, 98.1% of Massachusetts citizens have health insurance, compared to only 83.3% nationwide who have health insurance.  Nah, it's much more important that his cars have an elevator than his fellow Americans have health care and insurance.
