I like how he remembered to wear CSI style booties to prevent leaving footprint evidence, but didn't think to bring bolt cutters.

Or say a hammer to go at the plywood cabinets under the displays with the actual merchandise.  Those things usually have weak locks too.

Ok... did anyone else happen to have a surround sound..  a high wattage surround... that was turned up really loud when watching this damned thing?!?!
Screw you subby.. screw you hard and long until you stop liking it half as much!

As for the numbnuts in the video? Seriously? Thought those  Kensington cables were just made out ofshiny paper? "Good" pair of cutters are under $50 - tearing all those laptops apart - priceless... getting PITA in prison - ouch.

Booties? Or were they grocery bags for shoes. I think it's a homeless guy that got desperate

Pfft...A $15 pair of Greenlee sidecutters would have done the trick.

Another funny part is that those security cables are often attached directly to the power supply or motherboard, ensuring that you destroy the laptop if you just try to yank it.

Looked like grocery bags on top of shoes to me.  It was the the only part of his cunning plan he thought through, apparently.

I'm glad I had my sound turned down. Somehow I don't think this guy will ever be a professional cat burgler.

Can you even steal laptops these days? Wouldn't the manufacturers know which ones came from where as soon as they came online?

I don't believe lojack software is installed on most machines by default. Even if it were, you could just format the drive.

Some mobos have that kind of functionality but it's not enabled by default.
