I hope so.  Not because he deserves it, but it would piss off all the people I most like to see miserable.

He obviously didn't deserve the first one.  That was the Nobel committee thanking the American public for not electing another farkwad like Bush.

But OMG would I love to see the right wing blogosphere if he got another one.  It would be SO worth it.  Better still would be if the Nobel folks came out and said "We've started another prize, the Nobel Prize for Politics.  First awardee -- Barack Obama".  Swear to god I'd farking come right there, right then.

He's spent 5 years resisting the urge to beat the shiat out of Eric Cantor. I don't know if Mother Teresa could have shown that kind of restraint.

I'm glad he won the first one. The pure butthurt and anger it caused right wingers was glorious. I have no idea how many times I said only in America would people get visibly angry because the leader of their nation won a Nobel prize

BS, Obama got just what he claimed he wanted and the responsibility/cost got shifted to Putin. You're just butthurt that you didn't get to spend a couple of trillion killing a few thousand Muslims.

Boy Howdie, do Real 'Merkins love killing those Muslims.

NewWorldDan: TalenLee: Barack Obama turns up promising to stop those wars and step down the militarism, and gets elected. That is, Barack Obama, just by getting elected, expressed the ability of a nation that had been in a state of non-stop war for a near-decade to stop, to stabilise, and maybe stop being such a gigantic asshole to the rest of the world

That is a view that can only be described as willfully ignorant of Barack Obama and what he stands for. And what he stands for is... nothing. And this was entirely apparent during the campaign. He offered up populist platitudes about what a lot of people wanted to hear. But the US political machinery being the broken system that it is, his primary and general election opponents were 2 people that no one really wanted, so he speaks to the youth about hope and change and they fall for it. But I'm terribly disappointed in the Nobel committee for being so gullible.

Given the history of the peace prize, I shouldn't be so surprised. I would be surprised if the committee were dumb enough to give another award to the guy who uses murder drones to execute "bad guys" without any sort of trial or oversight, after failing to close Gitmo, for sustaining the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, for illegally waging war in Libya, and for trying to start another war in Syria. Anyone who thinks this guy should be considered for a second peace prize needs to get their head examined. This clown belongs in jail with Bush and Cheney. Hell, the last US president who wasn't a crook was Carter, and he was just a joke.

The best part of this bullshiat is you actually think someone will buy it.  Haha.

I was thinking that same thought earlier today.

Can you imagine Putin with a Nobel Peace Prize?  Jesus.

I thought it was changed to Lesus yesterday. It's challenging to keep up with all the change in the church these days.

Putin would probably refuse the NPP becuz Obama has one. Irrespective of that hypothesis, the craftily-timed intersession of Putin into the Syrian "crisis" created an escape-hatch for Obama, who misjudged American antipathy for yet another incursion into the Arab world. Putin was perceived as the peacemaker, and Obama suffered another foreign policy black eye.

He would deserve a Nobel Peace prize IF...

1) When the country defaults, he declares a state of emergency
2) He arrests half the Republican party and publicly tries them for treason.
