I could smell that exhaust from here.

And yeah, RIP cool America where trespassing generally wasn't a big deal.

FTA: "Security was lax back then."

I seen what he did there.

I don't want to go back in time to see any famous person, I just want to go back to a time of innocence where you don't have security everywhere.

Oh, and who the fark has a color 8mm video camera as a kid back in 1968?  I was born in 1974 and I didn't get to play with a portable camera until like 1986

So how about getting the film transferred to digital video by one of the specialist houses? It isn't that expensive, and the results are far better than pointing a video camera at a projection screen.
I had a Bell and Howell 8mm camera in the mid to late sixties, for what it's worth.

I dunno, I thought the sound of an old projector running in the background added a cool layer of atmosphere to the whole thing.

Neat! I do remember jets being smokier and noisier even in the 70s. Glad they've mostly sorted it out.

/always room for improvement
//no more noise ordinances, my ears hurt enough on many approaches
///private pilot

Yep. The slight scent of heat from the bulb and that thwip, thwip, thwip, thwip of  whipping film as a reel ran out.

We used to drop acid and go to Sea-Tac airport at night and go outside on the decks and watch the planes take off and land. Ah, the great times.

We used to do the same thing here in St Louis at Lambert in the 1980's. They had a special parking lot off Lindbergh Ave. where people could park and watch the planes coming in directly overhead for a landing. Drank many a beer and fried many a brain cell in that parking lot.
