Pujols who?

2013-10-12 01:27:43 AM
Well, then.  That happened.  Jansen is the new Niedenfuer.

Better rest up for later today, Dodgers.

2013-10-12 01:28:37 AM
If this game is any indicator of the series, we're in for some damn good playoff ball.

2013-10-12 01:28:41 AM
Great game dodgers, you are gonna be really tough to beat. In all fairness, you guys should have had this one. Five hour game next one in 12 hours....

As a Braves fan I approve of this Dodgers loss.

This Dodgers should have won this an hour and a half ago. The Cardinals are farking lucky to have won this. That throw from Beltran is being touted as the best play of the game and it farking wasn't. Eat shiat, St. Louis.

The great thing about a seven-game series is that it doesn't have to hinge on a lucky win.  The Dodgers will have plenty of chances to avenge this loss--in LA, even!

Agreed on the Beltran throw.  The dropped fly ball that allowed Beltran to knock in two rbi's was more important.

Uh huh.  Has nothing to do with the gazillion guys the Dodgers left on base, or the poor decision by Mattingly to pull A-Gon.

I think replacing Pujols with Beltran just might work out for St. Louis.

Not very sportsman like.but baseball is about endurance and recovery. St. Louis p made a mistake that gave you two runs. The tag was good, for a number of reasons... Mainly because the base was far away- ball made it first... And he pushed the catchers arm away from him!

Regardless of the fact that the glove did indeed touch him, please show me the MLB rule that states the glove has to touch the runner for them to be out. He was tagged out as the entire arm holding the ball touched the runner.

But did you catch the numerous replays where the ump gave the Dodgers that slut-vagina of a strike zone? Lol that was soooooo bad. But as you can see with the above pic, your boy was out. No question now.

Rule 7.08 Any runner is out when-- (c) he is tagged, when the ball is alive, while off his base.

And a "tag" is defined in Rule 2.00 as follows:

A TAG is the action of a fielder in touching a base with his body while holding the ball securely and firmly in his hand or glove; or touching a runner with the ball, or with his hand or glove holding the ball, while holding the ball securely and firmly in his hand or glove. (emphasis mine)

It's abundantly clear from what mlb.com posted of this play that the tag was never made.

Molina turned away like a little biatch instead of making the tag.
