Go Cardinals! You Reds and Pirates fans are gonna have to wait your turn for NLCS fun. Cards have that spot reserved most of the time.

My Give A Sh*T factor for this series doesn't seem to be registering.

Already saw "Beat L.A.!!!" posts from Giants fans on Facebook. That's dedication...

Actually, I don't really give a shiat who wins, as long as it's a team that wears red and plays close to the Mississippi River.

Can we all agree on one thing: the TBS announcers are atrocious. Not bad enough that I'm longing to hear Joe Buck...but damn do they suck. At least get the players names right!

If you carry the 7, it means that the Tigers will win the WS this year.

I got to go to Game 2 that year, the Dodgers got to Andujar early.  They went to St. Louis up 2-0 and obviously I was feeling pretty good about it.  I was working in an office when Jack Clark hit that home run.  Everyone had a radio on... I was in a closed-door meeting and could hear the staff around the office suddenly let out ghastly shrieks, and I knew it wasn't good.

It's a great rivalry, looking forward to a fun series.  The Dodgers are comfortable on the road, and I like not seeing Wainwright until Game 3 in LA.  If that ends up being important, I'll be grateful to the Pirates for going 5 with the Cards.

I'm torn about this match up. On one hand the reasons to hate the Cards are numerous. On the other hand I hate Greinke. I really don't know who to root for. Was really wanting a Pirates and A's series.

There is a huge disparity in payroll. There is a certain elegance and efficiency associated with lower costs achieving similar results. Arguably the Cardinals are a more efficient baseball organization.

Braves payroll was about $89 million.  They were more efficient too.  As a fan, it's hard to care.

Is there a reason the TBS ticker isn't showing the Cards' starting lineup, or does their graphics guy just need a smack in the head?

I am super torn here - on the one hand, my friend who is a Pittsburgh fan wants the Cardinals to win so he could say it took the best team to beat his, and I endorse that sentiment.  On the other hand, Don Mattingly is good people, and I want him to succeed.  I also have love for the Cardinals, because Freese and Beltran helped me win my fantasy league last year, and I also have hate for the Dodgers for helping Boston by taking all those bad contracts off their hands.

I guess the Cardinals have it.

I had Hanley, Kershaw, Ryu, Jensen, and Kemp this year, but I still hate the Dodgers, and I want to see them lose.  To be fair, it's a keeper league, and I traded for Kemp in August.

I just realized I'll be keeping three Dodgers next year.  I feel dirty.  That's almost like keeping three Yankees.

Ohhh fantasy teams - that'll break the tie for me. I traded for Allen Craig early in the year and he helped a lot. But he farked me by getting hurt during the playoffs. I don't think I had any Dodgers on my team. GOD DAMN IT! IT'S STILL A PUSH!!!

Good thing the Cards aren't playing the Braves.  They must've just broken some type of unwritten rule there.

Not sure if he's choking, or trying to locate...wainwright did it through two innings in NLDS game 5 before settling into an impressive run.
