I'd rather think their grandkid is James T. Kirk than that whiny Henry.

If it's genuine, I'm happy for them. Everyone deserves to have someone. However, some small cynical part of me wonders how much of this is real and how much is life imitating art. Are they really in love with each other, or have they just spent so much time acting it on screen that the reality/fantasy line is blurring?

And they lived happily ever after until one of them cheated and the other sued for millions of dollars and they dragged each others names through the mud of the public media.
*sigh*
Just like in the tabloids.

I wanted to watch the Gnats-Bears but one Eli-ception in, I said fark it.

/Grats on the couple getting hitched but I hope it doesn't turn into a Dexter-Deb getting married/divorced/show suffers from awkwardness.

Her character was in a neck and neck race with Chloe Sevigny's in terms of who could do the most mindblowingly stupid destructive things in that show.

I know it's hard to really prove, but I am reasonably certain that if the Hall/Carpenter marriage hadn't gone down (or at least hadn't gone south) we wouldn't have gotten Lumberjacked.  Around the time those two got married was when the show started dropping hints about how Deb's love for Dexter might not just be sisterly.  The next season had some significant plot developments to basically make room for Deb becoming Dexter's lady, and that was arguably the last good season of the show.

Unfortunately that was about the time their marriage started coming apart, and by all accounts they were effectively separated before the end of the season, and not precisely on amicable terms.  What do we get next season?  A strange, half compelling, half not, almost rushed plotline where Dexter bangs some completely random chick, and all those hints about his future with Deb are completely ignored.  Hell, the two actors barely share any screentime that season.  Future seasons get progressively weirder and rushed.

I think that season, Season 5, is where the Dexter writers suddenly realized they had to scrap all this Deb-Dex stuff because their two principals could barely be civil to each other, much less fake a developing romance.  That leaves them scrambling for ideas on what to do for the future of the show, and they settle on... well I don't think they really settled on anything, they just winged it every season.  Oh sure, they probably salvaged some of the few non-Deb-Dex-romance plotlines they could and reused them, but without a coherent direction to go for both of those characters things just got shallow and crap.  No more deep, thoughtful looks into what it means to be a serial killer with a synthetic conscience, just gimmicky villains and inconsistent character behavior for nearly all the main characters that just got worse as the season stretched.  By the time the last season rolled around the writers had no consistent direction to use for basing their final bits of character development.  Thus, they come up with the most disappointing ending in the history of TV shows, because when you're scraping the bottom of the barrel you fall back on tired cliches, in this case "crime doesn't pay." Can't let the serial killer get away with it, because reasons.

So yes, to conclude this minor threadjack, I sincerely hope the relationship between these two doesn't fizzle out like it did for Dex/Deb, or if it does it at least waits until after the show ends or writes their characters out.

Yeah, not like those real show busness weddings right? Douglas/Jones, Moore/Willis, Moore/Kutcher, Kardashian/Humphries, Presley/Cage, Taylor/Hilton/Wilding/Todd/Fisher/Burton/Warner/Fortensky...

If you can, find "Swingtown".

Then remove all sharp and breakable items nearby.

Then watch it.

They let me tell you that it was first pitched to Showtime rather than CBS.

The Woman and I have been watching the show from the start and do enjoy it. They do cram a lot of Disney property into it, but it hasn't quite hit a tipping point for me yet. If they have three talking pigs, I may be out.  But, the women are beautiful.

I doubt they have trouble separating real life from TV, but it does seem like the sort of marketing relationship Disney(/ABC) likes to put together. We'll see if it lasts after the show ends.

The show would be much improved if they renamed it Once Upon A Lesbian and became about Regina and Emma's copious hatesex and then Mulan and Aurora hooking up. Then Red can hook up with the Little Mermaid....somehow.
