sno man, article Dear Deer actually sez  Deer visits cat in yard every morning!
I sought grafik of turkey with rifle, found one executed by Pushkin no 1st name & shown on already furrgot the site, tagged RoyaltyFree but actually not.  Need be bought, may not be used in/on anything that'll circulate! 'Tis 1 or both of ham radio NLs I wish it for, natch. Think of drawing one meself which I can do that won't look a whole lot like Pushkin's. Take closer look at your Armed Deer to see where you got it, if possible, too.
Have Achieved TTEnd, mail's here, windows are open as humidity;s down again. Had to close back screen to deck because young jellicle visited. Had found YJ to be female, Vocal Cat War between her & Furry the Queen Mum (alpha females, appears; cd be good thing Piiki doesn't wish to Come Out or there'd be frequent Vocal & Mayhap More War between her & Furry, as P is quite likely alpha too).

fukyouidonthaveausername & rest on imgur: there's a chemistry joke in here too, can't find it though

Boobus needs some prayers, light, good vibes, whatever ya's got.... Our buddy has been with us for around 6.5 years, came in as a stray. When we took him for his first exam, we were told he's FIV+, so we knew up front that his odds weren't good. We were aghast when the vet asked then if we wanted him put down! With a face like ^THAT^?

Anyways, he's been healthy as a horse and happy as a clam since the day he came home with us. Until this week. Wednesday afternoon, I get a panic call from Mrs. vudutek; Boo is bleeding from his mouth. I come home thinking he lost a tooth or something, but noooooo, anything but. We rushed him to the vet. Found he has a lesion on the roof of his mouth that has apparently made contact with a blood vessel. They got the bleeding to stop, gave him antibiotics and steroid injections, and we brought him home. Took 2 hours to clean up the bllod from the carpets.
Yesterday the bleeding started again (not as bad), but back to the vets. They gave him a round of sub-q, and we got some soft food and syringe to keep him fed. Oh, did I mention he hadn't eaten or drank any water since this started Wednesday? So, we've been giving him his feedings every few hours, he's just been resting on the floor beside the bed.
This afternoon, he started bleeding again. Bad. This time, he must have ingested a large quantity. I was watching when he appeared to be heading to the litter box. Halfway there, he threw up a HUGE mass of blood / food / ?, He then collapsed in the mess, gasping for air. Off to the vet again for another round of sub-q. The only positives we have from the vet is that his temp is good, so 1) no fever) and 2) not in shock, which would show a drop in temp. Vet says to keep him comfy through the weekend, and give the steroids some more time to work. Even so, we know the writing is on the wall at this point, and we're devastated. We knew the FIV would eventually be an issue, but this was so sudden, it'shiat us like a ton of bricks.

tl;dr: sick kitty needs a miracle.

I'm sure this lizard is gone now.  The ones on my patio are quite small now.  I am getting pretty good at saving them.  This week Louie had one in his mouth, carrying it around by the tail.  I know better that to yell 'LOUIE DROP THAT LIZARD' cause he will.  I waited till they were in a room where I could get the lizard before it went under furniture.  I got the lizard, Louie got the tail (till I threw it away).  Another successful lizard relocation.

DoomsDayAardvark: Oh gad, I need some cat time.  Today was crappy.

After several years of putting it off, I finally made a dentist appointment for today.  I hate going to the dentist, but I could no longer put it off.  So I left work early to make sure to give myself plenty of time.  Hit every damn light as it turns red.  Then as I'm about to turn onto the last street I need...*bam* road closed.  Figure I'll go around the block.  Fine plan, except for the train that decided this was a good time to pull through town (seriously...the hell?).  And then I have the appointment and, hooray!  I get to have a root canal.  So there goes another couple grand that I don't need to spend.

/sigh
//needs to pet a kitten or something
///kitten shortage

Cost aside, root canals aren't bad in themselves (I've had two.) It's all the stuff that leads up to them that hurts.
Hope you feel better soon.

/yes, I'm sure there's a kitten in your future.

Dude, no. Just, no. Look, I was just going to light something for myself, but I'll toss in some words for Boo. He needs them more than I, and so do YOU and the rest of your family. So I hope you don't mind the token Heathen giving a small offering for comfort and, if possible, healing. They both made it to 17, although Regi probably should have only made 16.  Still conflicted about that all these years later.  Lesson is when you think it's time, it probably is.
Regi was the first dog that was my dog right from about 8 weeks old, Ti was about 8 years when she arrived, her previous humans had a baby and couldn't cope with both.
