Hey, how about someone screams at you until you blow your brains out?  That sound good to you, Herr Beck?  Maybe they can shove your fat, doughy ass against the wall a few times, just for added shiats and giggles.

What an odious piece of subhuman filth this asshole is.

Scream at your God until he smites Glenn Beck.

Nice one, trollmitter.

/Isn't there a rule on Fark about how we're not allowed to ever use the Hero tag for Glenn Beck articles?

"Push them so they don't end up like little girls crying at the drop of a hat."

Question... What if your kid IS a little girl?

I screamed at my kids until they yelled " Jesus Christ dad! Shut! Up!"
Does that count?

Republican Jesus seems like quite a douchbag. He's all about greed and pain and trauma.

Meh, I was brainwashed as a boy. I was a full fervent believer. Everything Glenn Beck could have wanted.

I don't regret walking away fully aware of what I was doing after spending time doing my own homework.

Beck's full of garbage.

What's with the Teddy Roosevelt glasses, Glenn?

Well-balanced individuals don't make reliable republican voters.

Of course he advocates parenting like that; it's how Rightwing Authoritarian Reactionaries are created.

Oh yes, badgering your kids to do something is a GREAT way of getting them to comply.  Never fails.  It also has no effect on how early your kids move out and if they ever call or visit again or even if they'll come to your pauper's funeral.

ManateeGag: is that what he did to that poor girl in 1990?

Well, after he was done she'd have known if there was a god for sure.

2013-10-10 04:54:42 PM
It's well known that the children who have been abused have a great chance of growing up to be abusers as well.

Glenn's just trying to use that sad psychological fact to sell Christianity.

Well, on the plus side, that's a whole lot of children that will grow up not believing in god.

...and then, when they believe... BAM! Kick it up to Level 2. Joseph Smith coloring book!

Why not . . . it has worked well for him so far.

It works so well for everything else.

2013-10-10 04:59:01 PM
Oh boy. I'm now waiting in anticipation for the news video of child protective services raiding Becks home and shooting his dog.

/If they are adults, maybe the statute of limitations has not expired for the rampant child abuse he forced upon his kids in the magic dungeon under his home, where there may be or may not be a chopped up female from the 80's whom Glenn may or or may not of personally raped for months on end.

2013-10-10 04:59:08 PM
The more ridiculous you look the better chance your kids have of realizing that you're full of shiat. So get in their face about God. Please.

that thing (he's not a man) is extremely hard for me to watch.

his voice, his mannerisms, the whole farking act he's putting on.

I'm not religious, but if I were, I'd think Glen Beck was the anti-Christ. I mean seriously, talk about poisoning the holy water.  On the other hand, he is just aconservative shock-jock, so I guess this is par for the course.

Spare the rod and raise an atheist. I remember wanting to be part of a christian church just for the community. But I have to ask myself, why would I want to associate with these kind of people.

How old are his kids? When can we expect the first tell-all book?

And Jesus said to the blind man, "You have good insurance, right? Jesus gots ta get paid, son."

And Jesus said to the leper, "Oh sh*t, gross? You just fall apart? My dad is an asshole."

"it's going to be much worse when they're pushed and they're shoved and they're shot."

Wait, what? Non-believers will be shot? Well, that doesn't sound good.

I still don't know what a "Glenn Beck" is.  From the comments I've gathered it's some kind of hobbyist-built propaganda generator that has never worked very well, but produces output that is so humorous that it's left running for comic effect.

Apparently a much earlier iteration managed to rape and kill someone, so my initial impression of it just being a piece of software must be wrong.  What the hell is it?

My mother is a fundie GB listener, and I'm an atheist who doesn't want to hear it from her.

This reminds me of last week's It's Always Sunny, when after having to put up with Mac's idiotic preaching and meeting Mac's non-preachy cousin that lives it instead of talking about it incoherently and incorrectly, Dennis says something to the effect of how for all those years, he thought that he hated God, but really, he just hated Mac.

Scream at your kids to instill belief? Well these kids will be easy to spot in school at least.

2013-10-10 05:11:41 PM
Thing is the only religious people are those who were brainwashed into it as children or who were suffering some sort crisis as an adult that requires them to believe in a god to empower them to overcome the situation.

You want to teach children in their infancy so they'll always grow up believing that this is normal.  Some older kids can be scared into it, but not easily.  Most kids will look at you and mentally equate Jesus with Santa Claus and deduct points from your IQ.  Most adults raised without religion and not in crisis will do the same things, but do so verbally instead of mentally.

I see facebook posts all the time that say "Gotta get 'em while they're young!", as a laugh, referring to putting their kids into religious schools or going to church.  I think to myself, "Yeah, you're more right than you think".  Religion isn't a bad thing, but forcing it into children is a bad thing.  Much like the use of a penis.

There's always Unitarians, and Buddhists. Sometimes in the same place at the same time.

Yell at her and shove her against a wall until she becomes an atheist.

My parents threated to throw me out on the streets if I didn't believe in God. It was a good strategy to make me say I believe in God.

Scare the hell out of them?
