zerkalo: Westwood One Radio's announcers took the same complaint

It's understandable - it's the old NFL thing where points were at a premium. With the NFL becoming basically an outdoor Arena league, it's all about possessions. The entire reason you defer is so you can have that free turnover by having the ball last and scoring, then getting the ball first to start the second half.

netweavr: How does Hester not have that record already?

They changed the kicking line, increasing touchbacks and decreasing returns and injuries on said returns. No kicker wants to give Hester a chance to score a TD.

I'll admit this much: The Giants are stopping everyone except Marshall quite nicely.

Well, I mean, the Giants do average one sack per game this year.

Cutler escapes again, draws a penalty. Well done.

2013-10-10 10:05:37 PM
Cutler slid with his head leading, shouldn't be a flag.

2013-10-10 10:05:43 PM
Nah, I'll give him that penalty. You're protecting the head, he touched the head.

2013-10-10 10:05:56 PM
Yes, he barely touched him. But his hands shouldn't have been that close to a sliding QB's head in the first place.

2013-10-10 10:06:07 PM
First WRONG! call of the night. Let's see how the Giants handle it.

If I had a son that wanted to play football at this point, I'd steer him to kicking/punting or long snapping.

2013-10-10 10:14:10 PM
And now the mistakes begin. 27-14 will suddenly be 56-14.

Wow, Manning the escape artist.

Of course, spin-move, over-the-middle short passes deep in your own end zone are the safe play.

Golly.
