Cybernetic: harleyquinnical: netweavr: To be fair, it's pretty amazing that he has Borderline PD.  Considering that PD mainly applies to women. Hell, I've written papers claiming it's a bullshiat diagnosis entirely.

Isn't it like extreme bipolar disorder?.

No. Bipolar is a "clinical disorder" (aka Axis I disorder) and can be treated with medication. BPD is a "personality disorder" (aka Axis II disorder), and does not improve with medication. Personality disorders require long-term intensive therapy, and people who have them generally won't get that kind of therapy.

Isn't it like extreme bipolar disorder?

Nice first down.

No, it's more like "there's something off about you but we cannot quite nail it down. Here's a catch-all so we don't have to actually work."

In layman's terms, "crazy biatch syndrome"

Don't most women and all wide receivers have this disorder?

Not like this. I mean, there's something wrong.

It's analogous to ADD. Yeah, something's wrong, but you're throwing the term around like it's meaningless.

"Have you ever tried simply turning off the TV, sitting down with your children, and hitting them?"

My best friend has BPD. She doesn't want kids because then she couldn't sleep late on the weekends. She hasn't seen our other best friend, who's been in Germany for the last three years and is in town for two months, because she's too busy working out every time we get together. She can be a little hard to deal with sometimes.

Right, so you know there's something off about her, but you can't quite nail down what.

Here's where the psychologist says "f*ck it, I've tapped out her insurance" slaps a BPD diagnosis on her,  recommends a psychiatrist to put her on whatever the drug of the month is, and moves onto another patient.

Yep. She's done the rounds of antidepressants. Sweet girl, just a bit weird about stuff... often a bit weird about stuff.

Back to football... #2 is super pissed that he missed the two picks earlier, so we're all hoping for some more.

That requires the Giants defense to actually be capable of making a play, which, given this entire season...is very doubtful.

Psychiatrists generally will not medicate a personality disorder unless there is a comorbid diagnosis of a clinical disorder that can be treated with medication.

Have the Giant's been out of this game yet?  Not saying it won't happen but it's not like the Bears have managed more then a seven point lead

Well, they seem to be giving up the big play instead of grinding the Giants into a pulp. The longer New York stays in this game makes me feel worse about the Bears chances.

Oh please, they'll walk through the antidepressant options just to see if they have an impact.

You're not going to convince me about the functional ethos of psychiatrists. I'll buy that they aren't "supposed" to do that, but they do.

ollbooth_willy: neuroflare: VTGremlin: neuroflare: it was a playoff game on Jake Delhomme's birthday, the underdog Cardinals came into Carolina and picked off two passes and forced four fumbles the their way to the Super Bowl. Delhomme's failure that night has since been immortalized and honored by many signal callers since.

I'm pretty sure it was 5 picks and a fumble...

You're probably right, I'm pretty drunk right now.

So, can anyone else think of a time where an "elite" quarterback, in the middle of his prime, went 0-6 to start a season, especially without being injured?

Damn. I like to sleep late on the weekends too and know that kids may interfere with that, so I don't want any either. Also a few weeks ago a friend came back to town, not a very close one, and I wasn't trying to break any appointments to see the mutherfarker, I mean if it happened it happened, but I wasn't going out of my way to see him. While Eli has been throwing some dumb balls, he's not the only one out there. No running game, a defense spending entire halves on the field. Full team failure.

netweavr: I can't think of many teams that went 0-6....

I had to limit it because Aikman went 1-15 and the good Manning went 3-13 in their rookie years, which is about that level of suck.

Second half Under 24 points.

Lots of running in the second half, Bears may get a couple more scores then just coast.

Moon, Marino, and I'm sure others had some pretty stinker of seasons. Sometimes shiat happens. Sometimes it is the offense just not clicking suddenly, sometimes it is the defense not being able to stop somebody and sometimes it is just the play calling has become to predictable.
