I'm gonna say "on airplanes".

On a more serious note, however, I fail to see any "there" there.  If you have something like 30,000 commercial flights carrying 2 million passengers *EVERY*FARKING*DAY*, then random chance would suggest that something that looks like a dry run, but is actually just a random coincidence would happen on a semi-regular basis.

I don't trust the air marshal's word, either:  When you look hard enough for something, you're going to find evidence for it whether it's actually there or not.

Crew members say that shortly after takeoff, a group of four "Middle Eastern" men caused a commotion.

The witnesses claim one of the men ran from his seat in coach, toward the flight deck door. He made a hard left and entered the forward bathroom "for a considerable length of time."

While he was in there, the other three men proceeded to move about the cabin, changing seats, opening overhead bins, and "generally making a scene." They appeared to be trying to occupy and distract the flight attendants.

They'll never get on the flight deck so I don't know what their end-game is.  They could slit the throats of every single passenger and the pilots wouldn't open the door.

Sounds like one is in the front lav trying to saw thru the wall to the pilots or something while the others distract the flight attendants and make noise.

Who was that woman who was internet famous for recounting the horror of riding an airplane with foreign musicians?

Sorry, but I believe in the motto "I'm paranoid...but am I paranoid enough". Ignoring an incident like this is the EXACT reason why 9/11 happened in the first place. Better safe...then dead.

So then you look for other evidence to confirm it.  And if you can't find any, you drop the hypothesis.

It's just damned good practice to be skeptical about everything, because in your way lies madness.

A hijacking used to mean you got a free trip to Cuba so people didn't put up a fuss.  Now it means you get a free trip into a building.

I call bullshiat.

Did the anonymous air marshall and airline captain also mention that on all flights in or out of DC passengers are prohibited from leaving their seats for a half hour after takeoff or before landing?

Oh, noes!   Some Middle Eastern looking zomeones got on a plane!

I had to look that up:

But there was one problem in Jacobsen's account. The 14 men claiming to be musicians were, in fact, exactly that. Nour Mehana, a well-known Syrian singer, had been travelling on the plane along with his entire backing band.

Hahahahahaaha, wow.

No, my way is "go home at night. Sleep soundly.Get up the next day. Rinse. Repeat".. Being paranoid to a certain degree bumps up the odds of keeping safe. Same reason you buy insurance. For successful distraction, all the passengers have to do is start drawing pictures of the prophet Mohammed and yelling out obscenities about Mohammed.

If this did occur then why did we not hear about the arrests of these middle eastern men ?

When they will divert aircraft for unruly children etc I find it hard to believe middle eastern men acting suspicious and causing a disturbance on a flight leaving DC would not be mentioned anywhere prior to this article.

Anyone know of any previous reports regarding this flight ? And I would hope these guys if they were actually up to something would have been met by the authorities when the plane landed.

2013-10-10 12:20:44 PM
If there was only some unifying factor that could tie in all the  terrorist actions like if they were all part of some club or death cult, then maybe we could scrutinize that group base on facts and data. Sorta like when ever there is a cross burning we check the Klan peeps first because that is their MO and they have a track record of doing such things....

The film, Please Remove Your Shoes claims these type of dry runs happen often and the TSA covers them up.

I agree, but the religious nuts know this too.
Next time it won't be planes flown into buildings, it will be planes exploding over cities, multiple planes. Probably orchestrated along with a couple of mall attacks like the one in Kenya, maybe some troops getting beheaded like the one in London not so long ago.
We need to think the way they think. If I were to attack America I would not try and fly a plane into a building, as you said the passengers would tear my spleen out as soon as I grabbed the flight attendant. I'd just blow the damn thing up, jump out the window with a knife between my teeth and land in a mall so I could declare holy war on scented candles and calendars.

Seriously though, the terrorists have won. Why would they bother now with the government crumbling? They have better things to do slapping around the local tribes.

Wrenches/Pliers/Screwdrivers (seven inches or less in length) are allowed on plane. Maybe they just want to try and poke a hole in the wall then mix 2 liquids to cause a poison gas that knocks out the pilots and crashes the planes. Those liquids you are allowed to carry on aren't tested. They could be acid for all the TSA knows. Plus things are snuck by the TSA all the time, including loaded guns and 9-year-old boys.

I don't disagree, but all substantial rights have a significant cost in human lives. How many people die because the Fourth and Fifth Amendments let criminals go free?  How many people have been inspired to kill by racist literature?  Yet we tolerate those things, to one degree or another, because we know that the alternative is worse.
